Lady Gaga lands herself on the cartoon classic ‘The Simpsons’

Put your paws up, little monsters!

Born This Way superstar, Lady Gaga is set to guest star on an episode of the cartoon favorite, The Simpsons! In “Lisa Goes Gaga” the singer travels to Springfield after learning about the city’s widespread teen angst and winds up working with Lisa to rebuild her self esteem through the magical power of speech, song and dance, how else would it all go down?!

Gaga who was recording her lines on August 22, shared with Entertainment Weekly just how strange the shift to playing a cartoon version of herself really was.

“I make music, but I don’t do voice-overs every day of the week, and their characters are so awesomely convincing and sincere and wild and funny, I had to remind myself constantly of the sincerity of the humor.”

The producers of the beloved series were also quite impressed by Gaga’s ad-libbing skills and wide voice-acting range. But honestly, it’s Gaga, people! Her wild wardrobe might become a challenge though, said series creator Matt Groening.

“It’s very hard to top reality with her, but I’m sure we’ll come up with something that is going to be as improbable as her usual wardrobe.”

Way to go, Gaga! I’m sure this episode will only further show your incredible versatility as an artist and be none the least very entertaining!

“Lisa Goes Gaga” airs in spring 2012 as part of the show’s 23rd season kicking off on September 25.

Also make sure to catch the musician opening up the MTV Video Music Awards on August 28!

Taylor Lautner breakin’ hearts (once again!) at the Aussie premiere of ‘Abduction’

There’s been a werewolf sighting in Australia!

Well, not really, but Taylor Lautner and his pearly whites were spotted at the Sydney premiere of Abduction. Thousands of fans gathered at the Entertainment Quarter in Moore Park on August 23rd, 2011, to get a glimpse of the ultra cutie walk the red carpet.

The 19-year-old was looking quite grown up in a black striped suit with a charcoal gray dress shirt and matching black skinny tie as he posed for photos and signed autographs. The scruffy face and loosely spiked hair also added to his flawless look!

When does this teen heartthrob ever look bad? Twi-hards (maybe just team Jacob) will totally back me up on how awesome Lautner truly is. Just from looking at photographs, I get such a strong vibe that this young man knows how to keep himself together while also still having some child innocence left in him.

The action thriller, Abduction hits theaters in the states on September 23.

Robert Downey Jr covers Empire Magazine as Sherlock Holmes

One of my favorite things to drag back to the states after a visit across the pond, is the latest issue of Empire Magazine. The glossy features fantastic articles and even the craftsmanship is like no other I’ve ever seen.

Gracing their October 2011 issue is none other than Robert Downey Jr posing as Sherlock Holmes in promotion of the highly anticipated Guy Ritchie sequel. RDJ spoke to the mag about Sherlock Holmes 2: A Game of Shadows and how they’ve upped the ante from the first film.

Says Downey, “Last time we were, I think, treated very kindly, considering that the movie had enough really good, bright, sweet parts and it kinda held up. However, it wasn’t exactly the most innovative or clever act three of any movie. But we’re all confident that, this time, for the bones of the story, we couldn’t work it out any better than we have.”

Personally I enjoyed the first part but then again I might be a bit biased. I just don’t see how a movie with both Downey and the hunky Jude Law could go wrong?!

Sherlock Holmes 2: A Game of Shadows hits theaters on December 16th, 2011.

Amy Winehouse had alcohol but no drugs in system when she died

Amy Winehouse partied hard during her life, and while that may have been what claimed her life in the end, early toxicology reports claim there were no illegal drugs in her system at the time of her death. Her battles with both alcohol and narcotics were well documented by the media throughout her career, but her parents say during the end of her life she was trying to clean up.

Here is the statement released via TMZ:

“Toxicology results returned to the Winehouse family by authorities have confirmed that there were no illegal substances in Amy’s system at the time of her death.”

The statement continues, “Results indicate that alcohol was present but it cannot be determined as yet if it played a role in her death.”

“The family would like to thank the police and coroner for their continuing thorough investigations and for keeping them informed throughout the process. They await the outcome of the inquest in October.”

Amy was found dead in her Camden apartment exactly one month ago today by a security guard who thought she was asleep. She was only 27-years-old.

Joe Jonas apologizes on The Late Show

Good morning fellow cougars! I’ve got some smokin’ hot new shots of our favorite prey Joe Jonas upon his arrival to The Late Show With David Letterman at the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City, New York on Monday, August 22nd, 2011.

Looking adorable in a loose white t-shirt, a dark tan jacket, jeans and sneakers, the 22-year-old performed his new song entitled “I’m Sorry” from his upcoming debut album as a solo artist “Fast Life.”

The song, which talks about his bad relationship decisions and regret, is said to be about one of Joe’s famous exes. During an interview with E! News, Joe opened up about its meaning.

“’I’m Sorry’ is really honest,” Joe said on June 16th. “It’s saying, I screwed up. I didn’t cheat on the person, but just I messed up and I wanted the person back. I’m just putting it all on the table saying, ‘I’m sorry. I wish I could have you back.’”

Who could he have been referencing? Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift, and even Twilight star Ashley Greene are possibilities!

“Fast Life” was originally set to be released next month, but has been pushed back to October 11th. No worries guys, the day will arrive in no time!

Let’s take a break from all the ovary turning photos of Alexander Skarsgard and his tiny co-star to gaze into the sultry eyes of THE man himself. The True Blood babe was photographed on location of his new movie What Maisie Knew in New York City, New York on Monday, August 22nd, 2011.

I tried to pick out the best pictures from the collection of images but I just couldn’t narrow down favorites. You will see below shots of ASkars playing hide-and-seek with screaming fans while striking poses that belong in a magazine. (and if he would do us all the favor and remove his clothing à la True Blood, it has a chance of getting picked up by some very steamy publications.

This man is trying to kill us with his sexy looks, and I for one am ready to meet the “true death”!!

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck expecting baby #3

In what has become some of the most obvious bit of news, actors Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck are confirming news that they are expecting their third child together. Garner has been sporting baggier clothing as of late (see photo above taken Friday) and had so much chatter surrounding her possible pregnancy because of it.

A pro at keeping her bump undercover, Garner had found creative ways to keep paparazzi from getting her at certain angles where her burgeoning belly would be obvious. But alas, she has grown too large to keep such amazing news a secret!

According to the Associative Press, Garfleck released the following announcement via their representative:

The actors are “thrilled” to have another baby on the way.

Ben and Jen tied the knot in 2005 and are already parents to 5-year-old Violet and 2-year-old Seraphina Rose.
