Early Christmas Gift: Matt Bomer set to become stripper!

I have no idea what I did this year to merit such amazing news but instead of question it, let’s celebrate! White Collar hunk Matt Bomer has signed on to Steven Soderbergh’s new project, Magic Mike.

The comedy is a “Saturday Night Fever-style coming of age story” about a male stripper (Channing Tatum) who takes another emerging exotic dancer (Alex Pettyfer) under his wing. The inspiration was Channing’s own experiences as a stripper when he was 19, according to Deadline.com.

Bomer will also be taking his clothes off as part of the troupe.

Veteran hunk Matthew McConaughey will take on the role of Dallas, an ex-stripper and owner of the club Xquisite where the boys work.

I’m about to hyperventilate with all the hotness in one post. Who are you most excited to see shirtless?

Hilary Duff shows first signs of baby bump

Newly preggers Hilary Duff was spotted with her tiny baby bump making her way out of a pilates class in Toluca Lake, California on August 17, 2011 wearing a super cute striped long sleeved top, a black scarf paired with black pants and knee-high brown leather boots.

The 23-year-old actress, who recently announced her pregnancy with hubby hockey player, Mike Comrie, on their first wedding anniversary this past Sunday, took to Twitter to express her latest pregnancy craving along with a plate of the tasty treats.

“Now I can finally talk about my cravings! Today it was Rice Krispie treats! Trying really hard to give them ALL away!!!”

Earlier this week, Hilary was seen grabbing some yogurt from Pinkberry after attending another pilates class. What a nice little snack after a workout!

Pilates is not only a great way to build core strength, but is also adaptable exercises that can be modified as the body changes. From the looks of the photos, it appears that the Lizzie McGuire star isn’t very far long at all and will have plenty of time to keep her petite frame in check!

Daniel Radcliffe goes from Hogwarts to a Haunted House in new movie

Daniel Radcliffe looks like he will be mighty hunted in his latest flick, The Woman in Black.

In this ghostly film, Radcliffe plays Arthur Kipps, a young lawyer who travels to a remote village in England to organize a recently deceased client’s papers, but discovers the ghost of a scorned woman set on vengeance— hints “the woman in black”. Directed by James Watkins, and based on the 1983 novel by Susan Hill, the horror flick is quite the transition from Potter for the 22-year-old who is looking all grown minus the glasses and added beard.

Oh, and the trailer is nothing shy of creepy. A little girl singing a song about a scary woman, plus a big old mansion and moving dolls just equals dark and chilling. Did I mention the slow and sinister music courtesy of the use of the one deep key on the piano and gray being the only color in sight?

I am still quite intrigued with this film and looks like the perfect platform for the young actor to branch off on.

The horror flick also stars Ciarán Hinds, who played Aberforth Dumbledore in the final installment of the wizard franchise.

The Woman in Black hits theaters on February 3, 2011 in the US and February 10, 2011 in UK.

A major dose of ‘The Office’ scoop!

With September rapidly approaching, the second best time of the year, besides Christmas, is almost here! I’m talkin’ Fall line up, people!

And despite one of my favorite shows, The Office, practically going through a face lift after the departure of Steve Carell as Michael Scott, I have high hopes for what is about to come to Scranton and Dunder Mifflin.

James Spader, to be exact. After his unforgettable appearance on the season finale as Robert California, one of the candidates as a replacement for Scott’s position,  Spader’s character has jumped from manager to CEO!

Actor, writer and executive producer, Paul Lieberstein (aka HR manager Toby Flenderson), recently gushed to The Hollywood Insider on how Spader is fitting in just perfectly with the cast.

“He has a way of taking on his character so fully, even in rehearsal, that it’s changing the mood in the set. Everyone is discovering who they are with this new energy. It’s like the first day of school — you have your old friends, but there are some new classes and new teachers.”

Some other major scoop news that I’m super excited about is 7th Heaven’s Stephen Collins making an appearance as Andy Bernard’s father and E.T. matriarch Dee Wallace, as his mother. I wonder what the visit will entail?

What has made me really start to count down the days is the news of my favorite office couple, Jim (John Krasinski) and Pam (Jenna Fisher) Halpert, having a second child! After Fisher became pregnant with her first child in real life, the writers decided to carry it into the new season that will bring some crazy hormones along with her new baby bump.

Mindy Kaling, who plays Kelly Kapoor and a frequent writer/direct of the show, told E! Online that even though Michael Scott is gone, fans should have nothing to fear with season 8.

“We miss Steve so much, but it’s also kind of energizing the show in a way. All of these other characters get to have bigger parts and so that’s been kind of nice. Because if anything, I hear all of the time how much people like the side characters in the office.”

I second that, Mindy!  A supporting cast is what makes up a great cast, and I think it will develop new and interesting angles for the comedy. As for who I think should be the new manager of the Scranton Branch, I honestly don’t know. Out of the possible candidates, I believe that Dwight (Rainn Wilson) would bring complete madness to the office, including his famous nun-chucks and all, allowing Jim to pull some majorly hilarious pranks that seem to never get old.

Can’t wait until the season premiere on Thursday, September 22 at 9 pm to see all my dreams come true!

Noah Huntley and Vincent Regan prepare for “Snow White and the Huntsman”

In preparation for the upcoming shoot of Snow White and the Huntsman, Noah Huntley and Vincent Regan took part in some last minute riding lessons on Wednesday, August 17th, 2011.

These photos are pretty exciting as its certain that shooting will begin in the United Kingdom this month. Could they already be shooting?

I’m holding my breath until we see some candids of Chris Hemsworth and Kristen Stewart!

The action fantasy puts a new twist to the famous fairy tale, the Huntsman (Hemsworth) is ordered to take Snow White (Stewart) into the woods to be killed and winds up becoming her protector and mentor in a quest to vanquish the Evil Queen (Charlize Theron).

Vincent Regan stars as Duke Hammond and Noah Huntley will play the role of King Magnus.

Brad Pitt keeps busy on set of ‘World War Z’

After a weekend with Angelina Jolie and their children in London, Brad Pitt was back to work on his latest film World War Z in Glagow, Scotland on Wednesday, August 17th, 2011. Say what you will about Pitt’s private life but when it comes to movies, he is one of the top.

In the three photos in this set, you can see the 47-year-old deep into a scene of the upcoming post-apocalyptic horror film based on the novel of the same name by Max Brooks. Brad stars as Gerry Lane, a UN employee who scours the world in a race against time to stop a worldwide zombie epidemic, referred to as World War Z.

I’m kind of worried that zombies are starting to take over Hollywood and that they will overshadow vampires. I wouldn’t be so against it if I wasn’t so deathly afraid of those brain chomping monsters!

Do you guys prefer vampires or zombies?

Let’s celebrate The Inbetweeners Movie even though it won’t come to America!

Are there any fellow Anglophiles out there who are slightly miffed that The Inbetweeners Movie won’t be screened in American movie theaters? Since I don’t want to confess the heights I’m willing to go to watch it on such a public forum, let’s just say that I will find a way to see it in the near future!

The big premiere took place last night (August 16th, 2011) with Simon Bird, Joe Thomas, James Buckley and Blake Harrison all in attendance at the Vue Leicester Square in London, England. The girls weren’t too far either with Emily Head, Emily Atack, and Hannah Tointon striking a pose on the red carpet.

The film picks up during the boys High School graduation followed by Will, Neil, Simon and Jay, jetting off for a holiday in Crete. They are in search of sun, sea, food and sex, with hilarity sure to ensue.

“I’ve only seen it recently and I was quite surprised there was a bit of depth to the characters and it was a lot sweeter than I thought it was going to turn out,” James Buckley told Metro.

For any of you who have not seen the series, the show follows four awkward high school boys and all the trouble they get into trying to woo the popular girls and achieve cool points with classmates. More often than not, they fail miserably and that is what makes The Inbetweeners so brilliant!

MTV is also in the process of creating an American version of the show, which quite frankly, I wish they wouldn’t bother. Does the Skins remake come to mind?

Buy all three seasons and get ready to piss your pants from laughter. Check out the trailer for the movie below, it’s in UK theaters today.
