Aaron Eckhart makes scruffy sexy!

You gotta love it when famous guys let loose and look a little scruffy! Yesterday we shared some shots of Jude Law who is staying away from shaving or getting a haircut for his work in a West End play and it looks like Battle Los Angeles hunk Aaron Eckhart is following in his footsteps.

He was spotted, and surprised to see paparazzi it seems, while running errands in Los Angeles, California on Wednesday, August 10th, 2011.

Eckhart is gearing up to (finally) premiere The Rum Diary this fall. He stars opposite Johnny Depp in the adventure drama about a freelance journalist who finds himself at a critical turning point in his life while writing for a run-down newspaper in the Caribbean.

Aaron plays the role of Sanderson, Depp’s rival not just at work it seems! The boys also compete for the affections of a young lady named Chenault (played by Amber Heard).

Catch that in theaters on October 28th, 2011.

‘True Blood’ star Sam Trammell becomes a daddy!!

Big congratulations are in order for True Blood star Sam Trammell and his longtime girlfriend Missy Yager! The pair have become parents of twin boys on Tuesday, August 9th, 2011.

“The couple is very happy that everything went smoothly,” a source told the Life & Style Magazine.

Sam and Missy met eight years ago while both were doing theater work in New York City. The boys, whose names they have not yet released, are the first children for both. No wonder he sounded so freaked out during a recent interview with New York Magazine!

“I’m about to have twins. I’m absolutely terrified, and they’re boys, too. The fear level is pretty high.”

I’ve had the pleasure to interview and chat with Trammell a few times and believe me when I tell you, it couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy.

Congrats!

Missoni for Target: Gotta Have It!

Would it be tacky to re-do my entire house and closet in Missoni for Target? I’m sure this was the idea when the brands decided to collaborate in such an extensive collection! If I wasn’t worried about not getting my hands on nearly everything shown in the latest preview, I’d have thrown out all my dishes, laptop case, throw, and even my bike!

This morning a tweet went out that immediately grabbed my attention since I’ve been dying to get a better idea of what items would be featured come September. The message linked to a Tumblr account titled, All The Way Up Here and it’s author Marina is apparently a doll…no literally!

I’m little Marina and I’m a real doll. That’s right, joints, hinges and all. And like every doll, I’m obsessed with everything stylish in the world. So that’s what my blog is all about. I hope you enjoy the view.

I even want the expresso cup set and I don’t drink coffee!

Here is the first ad that was released:

The entire collection (over 400 items!) will make its debut in Target’s across the U.S. on September 13th, just in time for my birthday! For those of you attending New York Fashion Week, you will get a special preview one week before it hits stores.

Of course it also includes dresses, scarves, ties, and even an adorable baby jumper that with some modification, I might be able to fit on my dog Peetie! Prices will range from $7.99 to $199.99.

“Family is as important to us as zigzags and colors,” Margherita Missoni said of her role in the campaign. “It makes sense that someone within the family will be the face of the brand.”

Now I need to work out which local store will have the best stuff and the shortest line!

Jude Law hangs out with newly bald Jonny Lee Miller

It looks like Jude Law’s hair is growing on over drive while his buddy Jonny Lee Miller has decided to get rid of his! The duo were photographed at an after party for the West End play “Anna Christie” held at Covent Garden in London, England on Tuesday, August 8th, 2011.

It’s quite hard to make Miller look unattractive, and he most certainly proves this in these shots. It was sad to see him [spoiler alert!]die at the hand of Dexter (Michael C Hall) on the Showtime hit with the same name, but he most definitely deserved it!

Law is getting rave reviews for his role as Eugene O’Neill in the Donmar Warehouse revival, for which he grew his hair and beard out. His co-star Ruth Wilson (also in photos), is also receiving praise for her work as the title character.

Sadly, tickets are already sold out so if you slept on this opportunity you’re out of luck.

Here’s hoping Jude gets some awards for this performance!!

Thanks to Carla for these photos!

Viola Davis premieres ‘The Help’, reveals plan to adopt a baby!

It’s a great time to be Tony Award Winner Viola Davis! Not only is the forty five year old, North Carolina native excited to premiere her latest film, but she is also about to expand her family.

Ms. Davis spoke to E! News during the Los Angeles Premiere held at AMPAS Samuel Goldwyn Theater on Tuesday, August 9th, 2011 and confessed her plans to adopt a baby with husband Julius Tennon. The couple, who have been married since June 2003, are in the process of adopting domestically but would not give further details.

The Help gives us a look at what happens when a southern town’s unspoken code of rules and behavior is shattered by three courageous women who strike up an unlikely friendship. Viola plays the role of Aibileen Clark, a middle-aged African-American maid who has spent her life raising white children and has recently lost her only son.

Head out to theaters right now and see the movie everyone is raving about!

Congrats to Viola and Julius!

Glee Creator Scares up an American Horror Story

Glee creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk are teaming up with Nip/Tuck’s executive producers on the new show American Horror Story which is set to premiere on FX on October 5th. The name alone was enough to lure me in because as you know I love a good scary story, especially a haunted house story and this promises just that. The plot involves a young family who move from Boston to Los Angeles to try to work through a tragedy. Upon arrival they find out that the house is not quite what they expected. Mayhem ensues.

American Horror Story stars Dylan McDermott (The Practice), Connie Britton (Friday Night Lights), Frances Conroy (Six Feet Under, Happy Town) and Jessica Lange (Grey Gardens, King Kong, Tootsie) in her first regular television role. Ryan Murphy calls AHS a “psychosexual thriller” and Falchuk says it was his love of 70s horror films that fueled the project. Early buzz calls it “the scariest show on television…ever” but we’ve heard that before. Claims like that usually make my eyebrows twitch a little and my defenses go up. Scariest? Really? Then show me. Don’t tell me. I want to be afraid to go to bed at night. Then we’ll talk.

As the premiere date grows near FX is building up the tension with a series of teasers that give us clues to what the show will be like. Check em out below.

Creepy huh? Love that version of “Tainted Love”. I have high hopes for this one. Let’s just hope they don’t get any bright ideas about a AHS/Glee crossover where Rachel sings a song about the Devil while the walls of the choir room bleed. Wait, that might be cool.

Follow me on Twitter @omgneal. I promise I’m not scary.

SyFy’s Haven Expands to Twitter

Just the other day I said to myself  “I wish the plots of my favorite tv shows could be executed in 140 characters or less” and now my prayers have been answered. SyFy’s weird and quirky hit Haven is taking to Twitter to offer the first seamless integration between a network television show and a social network, Twitter.

Here is how it works. Starting with the Friday, August 12 episode Haven’s loveable newspaper men Dave (@DaveHaven) and Vince (@VinceHaven) will join Twitter and begin to interact with a stranger with the username @ColdinHaven. This mysterious Twit knows more about Haven than anyone should and will no doubt cause the locals some concern. Executive Producer Lloyd Segan explains:

“Although Twitter has been featured in TV shows before, this is the first time a storyline from a television series has been fully integrated with the popular online service. The story has been created in such a way that viewers who don’t follow the Twitter plot can still enjoy the show. For those that do, there will be a special meaning to events in Haven during these seven episodes.”

Haven, based on Stephen King’s The Colorado Kid just started its second season and stars Emily Rose (not the one possessed by the Devil), Eric Balfour and Lucas Bryant. The show is mostly a “weirdness of the week” type thing where FBI Agent Audrey Parker (Rose) and the local sheriff (Bryant) try to uncover the mystery behind the “troubles” which usually involve people who can control machines with their minds or shoot lightning bolts from various orifices. It is great fun and so far only loosely based on the King novel. References to other King works are peppered in if you pay enough attention. I spotted Pennywise a few weeks ago.

Viewers can follow the story on Twitter at #HavenNews as well as on www.syfy.com/haven and on SyFy every Friday night at 10pm. And speaking of Twitter you can follow me there as well @omgneal
