Elizabeth Hurley and Estee Lauder support Breast Cancer Awareness Month

British beauty Elizabeth Hurley made a special appearance at the Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Awareness Month held at Selfridges on Thursday, September 29th, 2011 in London, England. During the event, which launched the Gossip Girlstars’ latest campaign for the brand, welcomed mobs of fans who wanted Ms. Hurley to pose for photos and sign autographs.

Elizabeth was absolutely glowing in a hot pink Marc Jacobs dress and a pair of peep toe nude sandals. I’d love to know where the fountain of youth is since it is absolutely obvious that this 46-year-old has located it! She hasn’t aged since we first saw her walking arm-in-arm with Hugh Grant during the Nine Months premiere in 1995!

We have a lot of coverage coming up for all the great brands that are doing big things for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This is only the beginning!

Rosie O’Donnell returns to television this fall and you have a front row seat!

Hey Cutie Patooties! Guess who is back? Rosie O’Donnell is making her big return to television this fall with a new original weeknight talk show aptly titled, The Rosie Show.

Premiering on Monday, October 10th at 7/6c on Oprah’s OWN network, you can expect a fun balance of comedy and game segments mixed in with live performances by recording artists and visits by many of her celebrity friends! And while no big names have been dropped as of yet, I know a handful of folks I’d love to see sitting in the hot chair.

They include Cynthia Nixon – for her work as a cancer advocate and supporter of the public school system, Queen Rania of Jordan – an advocate for global education, Susan Boyle – who empowered women all over the world to follow their dreams just by sharing her angelic voice, Jenny McCarthy – a mother who wasn’t afraid to educate parents about Autism, and Tina Fey – who proves that talent, hard work and perseverance can take you to the top.

If any of you have any ideas as to who you would like to see on the show, you can make your suggestions via this link.

Even though the show will air later in the day, you can expect the movie/tv veteran to cater to those topics important to American families. This is made quite clear during the cute promo for the show, which features one of Rosie’s four children! Depending on the segment, I’d love for Rosie’s children to also make special appearances.

Her adorable daughter in the video should host a segment of her own!

For those of us who have yet to start our own families, I hope the show will cater to us in other ways. I focus a lot on the empowerment of women, so this is a topic I would love to see covered on the show. What better example could we have than Rosie herself who is a successful actress, comedian, singer, author, and media personality!?

As much as I enjoy seeing well-known singers on various talk shows, I hope Rosie will also open her studio doors to musicians who are on the rise. So many talented people have been found via popular video sites that have been given life-changing opportunities that would otherwise be impossible.

I was a big fan of The Rosie O’Donnell Show, which earned her various accolades including multiple Emmy Awards, so I am confident that this program will follow closely in its footsteps.

The best part, I predict, will be the opportunity to gather the whole family for a fun-filled hour–together. Watch The Rosie Show Weeknights at 7/6c Premiering Monday October 10th only on OWN. To find OWN on your TV, visit Rosie.com.

Welcome back Rosie!

George Clooney & Brad Pitt: Two for the price of one!

Ready for a double dose of beyond hunky men to turn any day into pure sunshine?!Actor George Clooney was spotted making a sexy-yet-casual arrival at a private location in Los Angeles, California on Wednesday, September 28th, 2011. The man who never ages kept it casual in a white T with blue jeans, black dress shoes and a sporty red and black backpack.

Clooney is currently promoting his latest political drama flick, The Ides of March, which premiered last night in LA. He also produced and directed the highly anticipated film. (I just have to mention the fact that co-star Ryan Gosling looked beyond handsome in a Gucci olive colored suit! Ok, back to Clooney!)

We recently spotted the 50-year-old actor looking sharp during a shoot with Mercedes Benz in sunny California. (Click here for the photos) What a busy season for George!

Now on to the other gorgeous face of the night…..

Brad Pitt was also spotted today but all the way across the pond! The father of six was photographed departing London via helicopter to continue work on his latest project, World War Z.

Hmmm…what an awesome commute! Let me just catch a helicopter ride to work to beat the traffic!

The actor is back to work after a brief break while promoting his baseball flick in the United States, Moneyball, which debuted last weekend. Despite the film not killing it at the box office, I have no doubt it will get recognized with award season approaching!

The latest trailer for New Year’s Eve stars the who’s who of Hollywood

Who knew Garry Marshall had so much clout? The veteran director has managed to wrangle up just about every big name in Hollywood for his new film, New Year’s Eve as is evident by the latest trailer released this afternoon.

Halle Berry, Katherine Heigl, Josh Duhamel, Jessica Alba, Lea Michele, Jon Bon Jovi, and Sarah Jessica Parker are amongst those looking to ring in the New Year in this romantic comedy that follows the lives, loves, and resolutions of various characters.

If it sounds a lot like the 2010 rom-com Valentine’s Day you would be right, both were penned by Katherine Fugate and directed by Marshall. It even borrowed actors Ashton Kutcher, Jessica Biel and Hector Elizondo though they will not be reprising their roles.

New Year’s Eve opens in theaters on December 9th.

Tom Cruise shows off shorter locks in NYC

Actor Tom Cruise strolled around NYC on September 27, 2011 after getting a fresh hair cut. Lookin’ good, Tom!He was sporting much longer locks for his role in Rock of Ages this past summer in Miami, but now it’s on to a different cut for another film! The transition to the shorter cut is for his upcoming role in One Shot, which starts filming next month in Pittsburgh.

The film is an adaption of the Lee Child Novel that has cast Cruise in the lead role of Jack Reacher, a military veteran turned homicide investigator. The role has caused quite a bit of controversy with fans of the novel due to the fact that fictional role was originally written as a 6’5” 250 pound blonde haired blue-eyed man. The actor will also star alongside Richard Jenkins and Rosamund Pike.

Well, I think Tom can tackle this dilemma no problem!

Joseph Gordon-Levitt belts it out on Jimmy Fallon

I was just given another reason why Joseph Gordon-Levitt is just plain awesome. Last night (September 27) Joseph stopped by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon with his adorable smile promoting his latest drama-comedy, 50/50. After the actor boasted about working with his Inception and now The Dark Knight Risesdirector Christopher Nolan, Joseph went on to talk about another beloved recent project.

Joseph started his own production, hitREcord, where he collaborates with musicians, filmmakers, photographers, writers all over the world in short films, music videos, live shows and more. The first book with all of his collections so far was just recently released.

Joseph also spoke about the most nerve wreaking scene in 50/50—and just happened to be the first scene that was shot with fellow co-star Seth Rogen: shaving his head bald! After Jimmy said that he looked great bald, the actor went on to tell how everyone on the set would constantly praise his newly bald head, even though he never believed them.

Why would anyone lie to this super cutie? Joseph, don’t worry, I saw the film and absolutely no one was lying to you!

To top off such a fab interview, Joseph was such a good sport when asked to partipate in a little karaoke! He impressed the audience by singing Kelly Clarkson’s “Since U Been Gone” with his best impression of Axl Rose. He’s got a good set of pipes!

Jimmy performed in the style of David Bowie and the two joining together for a Lady Gaga duet to “Edge of Glory”.

Well, if these two ever need a second job, becoming an impersonator would be the best fit!

REVIEW: Glee “I Am Unicorn”

I don’t know if it’s just me or not, but I sense something is different about Glee this year. The tone is darker and the songs seem to blend more effortlessly into the narrative instead of the “EVERYONE STOP SO WE CAN SING” vibe from last season. In fact it sort of mirrors the transformation Quinn has made this year. Glee has traded in its blond hair and pom poms for a nose ring and a smoking habit. I kind of like it.

The message this week was that everyone is a special little unicorn and they should shout that fact to the rooftops instead of hiding it. McKinley’s most special unicorn Kurt Hummel (Chris Colfer) is running for senior class president but doesn’t want his campaign to be “too gay” and his campaign manager Brittany (Heather Morris) feels it should be as gay as possible. This is very unlike Kurt and I don’t get why they decided to make him insecure about his masculinity this late in the game. His argument about not getting romantic leads opposite Kate Hudson has some merit, but I loved his father’s suggestion that he may have to write his own way to the big time. Reminds me of something my father said me when I mentioned dreams of wanting to be an animator for Disney. “Why would you want to spend your life drawing what Disney wants you to draw instead of what you want to draw?” Well said Dads. Kurt finally does come around, mostly, until his dreams of playing Tony in West Side Story are dashed because he’s too delicate.

Let me go on record that I love seeing Coach Bieste (Dot Marie Jones) and that freakish bony ginger Emma Pillsbury (Jayma Mays) involved in the New Directions daily operations. I know it won’t last for long but it’s a nice change of pace. I thought their meeting about the casting was extremely well done and I ached for poor Kurt as he listened to them debating his butchness after his bouncy rendition of “I Am The Greatest Star” from Funny Girl. Bieste got all the good lines in this one.

“He owned that song like it was his prison bitch, but I want a Tony that excites my lady parts.”

His chances of getting the role are pretty much sealed after his laughable Romeo and Juliet scene and Blaine’s complete ass kicking of “Something’s Coming“. Talk about owning a song. He brought the smack down on it and bought it breakfast in the morning. As far as talent goes Blaine (Darren Criss) is the male Rachel and I would start calling him Blainchel if that wasn’t sort of lame. His lack of screen time outside of song performances is criminal. I want to see his parents and family life. I want to see whose posters he has on his bedroom walls.

I am also digging on Mr. Schue’s newfound focus and drive when it comes to his glee club. He came into the new school year with a mission and isn’t shying away from telling it like it is, especially when it comes to Quinn (Dianna Agron) and her skanky attitude. I still don’t quite understand what sent her over the edge. Maybe I should watch the final episodes of last season again or something, but her pink hair and granola knit cap look more like a Halloween costume than anything. I get that she has given up on being loved and it is sort of hard to watch. And I don’t get where her sudden desire to mother the kid she gave up for adoption is coming from. It seems at odds with her “hey look how punk I am” persona and her complete rejection of the idea of doing anything resembling parenting with Puck (Mark Salling). Cut to the final moments when the old Quinn shows up in a sundress and vows to get full custody from Shelby (Idina Menzel). WTF?

Ah Shelby. I do adore Idina Menzel and she is wonderful in this role. Her scene with Puck when he sees his daughter for the first time was magical. Her reason for being back seems a bit forced with the new McKinley show choir created solely to provide nightmare Sugar with a musical outlet competing with the New Directions. I suspect there is a surprise or two in store on that front. And what about Finn’s dancing? I’m glad he found his groove instead of bailing.

Finally I should mention Rachel’s performance of “Somewhere“. Lea Michele can do almost anything vocally and she tore this song to pieces. It gave me chills. It has always been my favorite Barbra Streisand song and I think Lea’s version is at least as good as Babs. Well done Miss Michele.
Next week on Glee things get real when the competition for the role of Maria heats up and the divas battle for top billing. Tune in Tuesday at 8 on Fox.
