Hugh Laurie and Bradley Cooper honored by British GQ

Bradley Cooper and Hugh Laurie were among the fabulous men that were honored at the GQ Men of the Year Awards on September 6, 2011 at The Royal Opera House in London, England.

Cooper who took home the award for “International Man of the Year”, looked nothing short of gorgeous in a black tuxedo and matching bow tie.

The blue eyed cutie seems to be quite unstoppable these days with recent hits like Limitless and The Hangover Part II, but who would ever deny his killer smile and solid acting chops to match?

Hugh Laurie from the ultra popular doc-drama, House, nabbed “Music Man of the Year” for his blues album, Let Them Talk. Laurie contributes to both vocals and piano throughout the whole album centered around a celebration of New Orleans blues. Hugh also kept it super classy in a black tux.

Let’s give it up for both of these superb men!

All natural for Lady Gaga on ‘Harper’s Bazaar’ October cover

Lady Gaga goes bare?

These words are basically in nonexistence with the mega pop star, but changed recently when she posed for the October issue of Harper’s Bazaar looking completely makeup free, and well, normal.

While it appears that the singer is showing off her softer side in the magazine, the 25-year-old doesn’t really see a difference between one of her unique fashion statements and bare skin.

“I don’t really view it as ‘natural,’” she explains. “I think that artifice is the new reality. It’s more about just being honest and sincere to the core of what you do. Whether I’m wearing lots of makeup or no makeup, I’m always the same person inside.”

It’s nice to see her face looking free and fresh for once. This proves that Gaga really is a human being just like the rest of us, something that many people seem to forget.

Of course there is room to wonder how her beloved fans will react to the normal photographs with no crazy hat or 10-inch heels. But would Gaga ever stop being Gaga? Not a chance. No makeup is even racy for this woman.

“I think what has been lovely about my relationship with the public is that they expect something unexpected from me.”

The queen of theatrical stunts that exudes confidence on and off stage, credits her flawless body image to dancing along with vigorous workout routines.  So I guess “dancing your butt off” really does work!

“I do yoga, I do Bikram and I run, and I eat really healthy. You know, my work sort of feeds me. I keep in shape by working hard.”

The normal thing is really working out for this mama monster.

Pick up a copy of Harper’s Bazaar when it hits stores on September 27.

Emma Watson poses pretty in plaid

Actress and model Emma Watson looked gorgeous while making her arrival at the GQ Men Of The Year Awards at The Royal Opera House on Tuesday, September 6th, 2011 in London, England.

Emma kept it classy on the red carpet in a plaid McQ dress with a cropped black leather jacket and black Christian Louboutin pumps adding just a touch of edge. Her ensemble is reflecting fall’s always hot fashion trend: plaid!

I am loving the fact that she kept her makeup simple and clean. Rosy cheeks and a natural eyeshadow is the perfect touch for this soft and edgy look. She looks mature while not overdoing her eyes in black chunky liner like some other young actresses. (cough cough Taylor Momsen!)

And of course Emma’s polished pixie cut is the perfect finishing touch.

This is a look that many women could rock so easily. A cropped jacket, leather in particular, is the perfect way to add style to a simple blouse and jeans combo or dress in such an effortless way.

Stephen Moyer flew to Vegas to buy Anna Paquin the perfect gift!

They may have just celebrated their first wedding anniversary, but that has not stopped Stephen Moyer from doing romantic gestures for wife Anna Paquin. Moyer confessed on The Regis & Kelly this morning that he flew to Las Vegas to see British professional boxer Amir Khan kick some butt and to collect his hand wraps from the match!

Both Stephen and Anna are huge fans of boxing, so while this may not seem like a sweet gift to an outsider, Anna was not able to attend the match and it meant a lot to her to receive it!

He also chats about vacationing with his children in Montana over the summer and Sookie’s relationship with Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard) on True Blood this season.

Love it or leave it: Eddie Murphy named host of 84th Academy Awards

Some know Eddie Murphy from Beverly Hills Cop, Saturday Night Live, and Coming to America. Others, like me, know him from The Nutty Professor, Doctor Dolittle and of course, Shrek.

On Tuesday, after a rumor filled Labor Day weekend, the Academy of Motion Picture Acts and Sciences announced that comedian Eddie Murphy is set to host the 84th Academy Awards.

How shocking is this?

Well when I really think about it, look back at last year’s performances: Anne Hathaway and James Franco. While they always shine beautifully on-screen in their respective projects, Franco was blasted by critics for his “lack” of performance, and well, Hathaway was just plain old cheesy. So it can be believed that the Academy decided to step away from the youth and bring back an older star to reflect on the years of Bob Hope and Steve Martin running the show.

Is this the right move? Murphy holds either love or hate with the general public. Older generations will never forget his earlier performances and would love to forget anything after 1999. Dream Girls was his only decent performance in years which earned him a supporting actor nod back at the 2006 Oscars. And I will admit that his character as Donkey in the lovable cartoon flick Shrek will remain a classic.

Maybe it was the fact that his latest flick, Tower Heist, which was directed by Brett Ratner—who just happens to be producing the award show. Connections do make it possible.

I hope he works Professor Klump and Donkey into his opening monologue. How else will he get people to laugh at his jokes these days?

Do you think he will do a good job?

Hugh Jackman enjoys family time in Paris

Hugh Jackman surely is enjoying some quality time with his family while in The City of Lights! The Wolverine stars was spotted at Studio Guillaume Tell in Paris, France on Monday, September 5th, 2011 before grabbing lunch with wife Deborra-Lee Furness and kids Ava and Oscar at the Jules Verne Restaurant.

You can’t help but get slightly jealous when seeing the candids of Jackman and his wife of fifteen years sneak a little smooch! They are just too cute together!

While the family is sharing some special moments in Europe, US news agencies have been busy announcing some big plans for the 42-year-old hunk. He will take a turn at hosting WWE Raw SuperShow on September 19th, live from the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio!

No word yet if Mr. Jackman plans to jump in the ring for a bit of fun, but I will keep my fingers crossed!

After a successful debut in San Francisco in the spring, Hugh will be taking his one-man show to New York City for and eight week run. The show features songs from various productions he has participated in the past as well as some personal anecdotes.

How many of you plan to head to The Big Apple to see this fabulous show, which will also feature an 18-piece band?

Christina Ricci strikes a sultry pose for Miami Magazine

She’s come along way since starring as Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family in 1991, Christina Ricci is all grown up and has transitioned into adult roles which even earned her an Emmy Award nomination!

The 31-year-old California native is featured on the cover of Miami Magazine’s special 4th Anniversary Issue in a corset top and skirt from Louis Vuitton.

Ricci is gearing up to premiere the period drama Pan Am on ABC on September 25th, 2011.  She stars in the role of Maggie, a rebellious Bohemian in the 1960′s who becomes head stewardess at Pan Am Airlines in order to see the world. The show is naturally receiving comparisons to the king of all throw back’s, AMC’s Mad Men.

It’s a great comparison to get: Mad Men is a great show and I’m a huge fan. But that does focus more on a man’s experience of that time period and this is much more eabout these women,” she said.

“These were really women who were taking control of their lives and living in a very feminist kind of way. They weren’t the average women.”

In the article, Christina also talks about fashion, her upcoming role in Bel Ami alongside Robert Pattinson whom she calls, “an awesome guy,” and what she will miss the most while working in New York.
