First Official Look at Dark Shadows

Now this is more like it. Entertainment Weekly posted the first official cast photo for Tim Burton’s remake of the television classic Dark Shadows it makes me goose-pimply all over. Check it out below.

I think I can say my faith in this remake has been restored quite a bit thanks to this photo. Johnny Depp’s Barnabus looks to be much more in line with Jonathan Frid’s look from the 1960s than the circus freakshow look we saw in set photos last week. I’m guessing the weirdo makeup seen in those photos was just the early stages of the process instead of the final product. Let the heavens rejoice! This new image is very evocative of the original cast photo.

Josh Brolin suits up for ‘The Gangster Squad’

It’s been a hot minute since we saw new images of Josh Brolin on the set of The Gangster Squad but as you can tell from these snaps, he’s back! The 43-year-old star of No Country for Old Men, True Grit and Milk was spotted by photographers while on set in Los Angeles, California on September 21st, 2011.

Brolin stars opposite Sean Penn, Ryan Gosling, Michael Peña and Emma Stone in this 1940′s crime drama based on the true story of L.A. gangster Mickey Cohen. Brolin plays the role of Sgt. John O’Mara, Gosling’s partner on a special police task force who need to bring down Cohen (Penn).

On The Scene: Channing Tatum and Olivia Munn shoot ‘Magic Mike’

It’s the most highly anticipated film of the year, (well to many of us it is) and I’m elated that pictures are finally starting to trickle in from Steven Soderbergh’s Magic Mike. (aka the hot stripper film starring some of the sexiest men in Hollywood!)

Channing Tatum was spotted in between scenes with co-stars Olivia Munn and Wendi McLendon-Covey in Los Angeles, California on Wednesday, September 21st, 2011. Sadly he wasn’t in “stripper gear” but he can surely wait until they shoot in Tampa for that, as I plan to stalk the set….in the name of research of course.

In this dramedy, Tatum stars as the lead character– an experienced stripper who takes a fellow exotic dancer (played by Alex Pettyfer) under his wing. Both shake their money makers at club Xquisite which is run by Dallas, a retired dancer played by Matthew McConaughey.

Magic Mike also stars True Blood hunk Joe Manganiello, White Collar babe Matt Bomer, and British stud Alex Pettyfer.

Is it hot in here or is it just me?

Gerard Butler and Michelle Monaghan premiere ‘Machine Gun Preacher’

Two Gerard Butler posts in one day? Heck yeah! Gotta love it when a hot celebrity is promoting a new movie!

Butler was photographed with co-star Michelle Monaghan at the Machine Gun Preacher Los Angeles premiere held at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences on Wednesday, September 21st, 2011 in Beverly Hills, California.

Also in attendance were producers Gary Safady, Robbie Brenner and Colombiana star Zoe Saldana.

The action/adventure film is based on the real life story of Sam Childers, a former drug-dealing criminal who undergoes an astonishing transformation and finds an unexpected calling as the savior of hundreds of kidnapped and orphaned children.

Gerry’s performance has had folks buzzing since it’s premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 11th. Machine Gun Preacher will open to a limited release this Friday.

‘Alias’ star Victor Garber joins cast of Charlie’s Angels

Rejoice fellow Alias fans! As if I wasn’t already excited enough about the Charlie’s Angels premiere tomorrow, I’ve just read on TV Guide that Victor Garber has been cast as the voice of Charlie himself!!

With his iconic voice, there is no doubt that we will feel like ~~Spy Daddy~~ Mr. Garber is with us during each and every episode.

Veteran actor Robert Wagner was originally announced to be voicing the role but negotiations fell through.

As of press time, Garber’s deal was still being negotiated and ABC refused to comment. Producers have said there will be a back story mythology unfolding involving the mysterious Charlie, with speculation brewing that he may have fathered a former angel killed in the line of duty who’d had a romance with the Bosley character now played by Ramon Rodriguez.

Don’t forget to tune in to the series premiere of Charlie’s Angels Thursday, September 22nd at 8|7c only on ABC.

Colin Firth and Helen Mirren premiere ‘The Debt’ in London

The red carpet was on fire at The Curzon Mayfair for the UK premiere of The Debt on Wednesday, September 21st, 2011 in London, England. The films’ stars were on-hand for the celebration including Dame Helen Mirren, Tom Wilkinson, and Jessica Chastain.

Also in attendance was Colin Firth who was accompanied by his beautiful wife Livia Giuggioli.

The espionage thriller begins in 1997, as shocking news reaches retired Mossad secret agents Rachel (Mirren) and Stefan (Wilkinson) about their former colleague David (Ciarán Hinds). All three have been venerated for decades by their country because of the mission that they undertook back in 1966, when the trio (portrayed, respectively, by Chastain, Marton Csokas, and Sam Worthington) tracked down Nazi war criminal Vogel (Jesper Christensen) in East Berlin. At great risk, and at considerable personal cost, the team’s mission was accomplished – or was it?

The Debt is currently showing in US theaters.
