Christina Hendricks glows in silk and gold on Emmy red carpet

Christina Hendricks looked ultra glam as she walked the red carpet at the 2011 Emmy Awards at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on September 18 in Los Angeles.

The Mad Men actress walked arm-in-arm with hubby, Geoffrey Arend  in a silk gown by Johanna Johnson along with Christian Louboutin shoes, a Judith Leiber clutch and palladium jewelry.

While Hendricks is usually known for her exposing on top dress choices, I loved the color on the gorgeous redhead. It was such a pretty combination of silk satin and gold that made her look like flawless. Not to mention, her signature red lips to top it all off!

Hendricks is nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in Drama. As a lover of Mad Men, let’s go Christina!

Lea Michele fires it up on the Emmy red carpet

Glee’s Lea Michele stepped out in a gorgeous Marchesa dress at the 2011 Emmy Awards at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Sunday, September 18th in Los Angeles, California.

The actress dazzled in red along with Manolo Blahnik shoes and Lorraine Schwartz accessories. She also kept her makeup light while keeping her hair down and straight.

I am absolutely loving her gown!! It not only fits her like a glove, but the scoop in the back is to die for! Red is always a dare on the red carpet, but Lea hit it perfectyl! The elegance of the gown went along so nicely with how Lea kept everything less so simple. Nothing was overwhelming the actress’ dress allowing her to look totally polished.

Lea’s co-star Jane Lynch is also hosting the main event.

Colin Egglesfield goes for a solo stroll in Los Angeles

Now here is a pretty face we don’t see enough of! Colin Egglesfield was photographed while out and about in Los Angeles, California on Saturday, September 17th, 2011. Looking delicious in a fitted grey shirt and black pants, the 38-year-old recently spent some time in New York City cheering for Rafael Nadal during the U.S. Open.

Mr. Egglesfield returned home slightly disappointed since Mr. Nadal lost out to Novak Djokovic.

I recently watched the movie Something Borrowed which starred Colin alongside Ginnifer Goodwin and Kate Hudson, and I absolutely loved it! But what is not to like really, a love story featuring one of the hottest actors in Hollywood sans shirt (though not enough!).

He also guest starred on the TNT drama Rizzoli and Isles where he was shaking things up! I hope to see more of him on tv and on the big screen.

Ryan Gosling pulls gun on bad guy!

Time travel in movies is fantastic, especially when it puts a hottie like Ryan Gosling in 1940′s gangster-era gear! The 30-year-old, Canadian native was spotted with co-stars Michael Pena and Robert Patrick during the filming of The Gangster Squad in Los Angeles, California on September 16, 2011.

The crime drama follows a special unit of the Los Angeles Police Department in the 1940s which was tasked with ridding the city of real-life gangster Mickey Cohen (Sean Penn) and his crime operation.

Gosling stars as police sergeant Jerry Wooters, Pena plays officer Navidad Ramirez, and Patrick is taking on the role of gangster Max Kennard– filling in the vacancy left by Bryan Cranston.

Are you ready for the return of the Blair Witch?

It seems like only yesterday when we wandered into local art-house theaters to see a little film called The Blair Witch Project and bore witness to the birth of a new genre and cult phenomenon. I consider myself among the lucky who got to see the film before the wide release and before it was common knowledge that the footage wasn’t real. Call me naive but I believed everything I saw and it scared the bejesus out of me. It ranks near the top of my list of all time best theatrical experiences. However you feel about the film it was definitely a milestone in the horror genre. That was twelve years ago if you can believe it. Since then found-footage movies have become as common as teen sex romps and Saw sequels. Some have worked (Paranormal Activity) and some haven’t (Quarantine). I think it is safe to say the genre is here to stay for a while.

Sadly, depending on how you felt about the Blair Witch Project, the franchise died as quickly as it was born thanks to the not-quite-terrible but not-really-great-either “sequel” was rushed out and ruined the whole mythology. Book of Shadows had moments (and gave the world Jeffrey Donovan) but overall it was a failure. Director Eduardo Sanchez had mentioned on a few occasions that they were working on a prequel that told the story of Elly Kedward and I was definitely on board with the idea. Then it fizzled and died as well.

Now there is a distinct rustling the woods around Burkittsville as Sanchez reveals to Bloody Disgusting that a third film is finally in the works. Here is what he had to say:

“It’s completely up to Lionsgate,” Dan [Myrick] and I are ready to do it. We’ve been toying around with a sequel idea that we really like. It’s just a matter of getting our schedules in line and having Lionsgate sign off on the idea. We’ve been ready to do a ‘Blair Witch’ movie for a long time. We’re as close as we’ve ever been to making it happen but it’s still not a guaranteed thing.”

Sanchez went on to say that the sequel, which would ignore the world created by Book of Shadows and go back to the core, would not contain any found footage. He also said that stars Heather Donahue, Michael Williams and Josh Leonard will probably make an appearance. I’ll admit I’m curious about that bit since they are presumed to be dead or something. I for one would like to see something done with the image of the Blair Witch created by Todd McFarlane.

The original film made 250 million at the box office so I think there is an audience for it and I know I’ll be first in line if this thing gets made. I have a stick-man hanging from my rear-view mirror for goodness sakes. I’ve been waiting on this for years! And I’m sure the people of Burkittsville are ready for a new influx of tourists looking for random rock piles and stick men? Right?

Clive Owen suits up in San Sebastian

British babe Clive Owen was on-hand to premiere his latest film, Intruders, at the Kursaal Palace during the 59th San Sebastian International Film Festival on Friday, September 16th, 2011 in San Sebastian, Spain. Joining him on the red carpet was director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo and co-stars Daniel Bruhl, Carice Van Houten and Pilar Lopez.

The horror/thriller tells the story of Juan and Mia, two children living in different countries who are visited each night by a faceless intruder, a terrifying being who wants to take possession of them. The presences become more powerful and begin to dominate theirs and their families’ lives.

The anxiety and tension increase when their parents also witness those apparitions.

**Gosh, I got terrified just reading that description!**

Intruders opens in US theaters on October 7th.
