USA Network gears up for explosive Covert Affairs and Burn Notice premieres!

With only one day left before Annie Walker (Piper Perabo), Auggie (Chris Gorham), and the rest of the Covert Affairs gang return for their second season and only three days before our boy Michael Westen (Jeffrey Donovan) and his Burn Notice posse put the spotlight back on Miami to continue their fifth season, USA wants to pump you up!

Watch this space for some fun contests and exciting content coming at ya straight from the fabulous folks at USA Network!

We’ve seen some of the swag that they want to hook you guys up with and its A-mazing. No seriously, if you don’t believe me just ask topless Sendhil Ramamurthy from Covert Affairs. He would never lie to you.

So to get the party started, I have some exciting clips for both shows to share below.

Covert Affairs picks up after Annie has has told her sister Danielle (Anne Dudek) about her CIA status. Sister dear is still peeved and obviously worried for her sibling since all she knows about her line of work comes from television and movies.

The frequent traveler re-opens the second season in the beautiful Italian city of Venice where she finds herself too close to the bad guys. (Again!)

Speaking of Sendhil, there will be a little Heroes reunion when his former co-star Santiago Cabrera guest stars on “The Wake-Up Bomb.”

The mid-season summer finale of Burn Notice left blacklisted spy Michael Westen at the beck and call of a new breed of bad guy who infiltrates his life in deeper ways than ever before. As Michael continues working alongside his former agency in Miami, he’s forced to protect his loved ones by aiding an enemy.

Tune in for all new episodes of Covert Affairs, Tuesday night at 10 pm and Burn Notice, Thursday nights at 10 pm only on USA.

Pan Am: “The Genuine Article”

It was The Maggie Ryan show on Pan Am this week as we learned more about the sassy brunette who rules the Clipper Majestic with an iron stiletto. Seems Miss Ryan isn’t quite the picture-perfect stewardess she likes people to think she is and she certainly doesn’t have a fan in Miss Havemeyer whom she sassed quite effectively back in episode one.

Framed by Maggie’s fight with Pan Am brass to keep her job we learn through flashbacks how she made her way from being a not very good waitress to the Goddess of the Jetway we see before us today. Maggie (Christina Ricci) is a fraud, a very charming and intelligent fraud who doesn’t speak the languages she claims to and earned her education by posing as other students who have dropped classes at Berkley. When she’s found out she bolts and charms her way into the blue suit. I actually like Maggie more now. She’s ruthless and while she can be a friend when she wants to be we learn that when the chips are down Maggie takes care of Maggie. And it was Maggie doing exactly that which landed her and doe-eyed Laura (Margot Robbie) in a Brazilian prison for buying stolen goods. And once again Ted (Michael Mosley) comes to Laura’s rescue. When are these two gonna go on a date?

But it wasn’t all about Maggie this week. The Majestic headed south to Rio and Captain Dean (Mike Vogel) is shocked to find Ginny his fling from Monte Carlo on board. She is headed south to join her “boss” but secretly wants to ride in Dean’s cockpit some more. Dean is smart enough to realize that there is turbulence ahead and shuts her out, at least until they get back to New York. But the Majestic has ears everywhere and Dean doesn’t quite know how to whisper. Ginny certainly wasn’t helping things when she invited Dean and Colette to join her and her lover for dinner where she proceeded to get drunk and flirt shamelessly with her Captain.

Kate (Kelli Garner) was grounded this week due to some mysterious mixup with her immunization records that turned out to be just her CIA contact making sure she stayed state side to work some covert magic on her new boyfriend Niko. Kate gets the info they need which leads Mr. Anderson to suggest she work on turning Niko into a spy. And just when poor Kate was falling in love! No good will come of this.

Sadly it was another week woefully devoid of any Colette goodness. Aside from providing some window dressing for Dean at dinner she was mostly seen fluffling pillows and being glamorous in the background. I long for some flashbacks into her past, and hopefully very soon. As the sun set on New York this week poor Maggie still has her job but at what price? Her betrayal of Dean (the plane has ears remember?) will surely come back to bite her in the ass in a big way, and it looks like she might already be regretting it.

Desperate Housewives: “Witch’s Lament”

Halloween arrived on Wisteria Lane and sadly the real horror was not Lee dressed as Marilyn Monroe. Instead the kids of Fairview were menaced by a post-menopausal Renee and the after effects of her “Women’s Love Juice”. Amusing as the whole situation was it did provide us with some sorely needed character development for Renee who while recovering in the hospital revealed that she hasn’t had sex since her divorce. It seems Renee talks a big game but deep down she’s just another insecure romantic. I’m rooting for her and Ben, but I won’t be surprised if we find out Ben is not what he seems to be.

Susan’s (Teri Hatcher) quest to become a serious artist took a leap forward this week when her teacher Andre Zeller chose her to be an intern on his latest project. Then it took two leaps backwards when internship turned out to be a fancy word for babysitter. The big news here is that Andre has a son who is just as miserable and intolerable as his father and Susan makes cheering the boy up her mission in life. The mission turns out to be pretty easy. Getting Andre to acknowledge he has a son that needs attention took a little more work and Susan did a fine job of it. For once she wasn’t falling over herself or getting naked for dubious reasons. I liked that she told Zeller she was done trying to get him to like her because she doesn’t like him. Go Susan!

At the Scavo’s house Lynette (Felicity Huffman) is finding it hard to manage with Tom’s new girlfriend Jane hanging around and when she offers to make Penny a Halloween costume Lynette swoops in. But we know Lynette can’t even thread a needle much less manage The Black Swan so with some help from Renee she hires an ex-Broadway costume designer to make it. What she gets back is a castoff from the set of Burlesque and Tom isn’t too thrilled about it. His gal comes to the rescue because in addtion to being a doctor she also knits costumes for all the kids in the cancer ward. Lynette tries to mark her territory with Tom (Doug Savant) and Jane calls her out for always wanting a fight which is why they are not togehter in the first place. I think that is what we call “getting told” Lynette. Snap. Kitten with a whip indeed. Penny did look cute though.

Now on a more serious note, I am not enjoying drunk Carlos at all. I don’t have any issues with them heading down this particular road but drunk Carlos doesn’t do anything but hallucinate and drink quietly by himself in a corner. I want drunk Carlos dancing on a table in his underwear while singing the National Anthem at little Juanita’s birthday party. I want some Postcards from the Edge stuff going on up in here. Maybe it’s a slow build and Carlos will crash spectacularly in time for Christmas. Everyone loves eggnog right?

Speaking of alcoholics Bree (Marcia Cross) is doing pretty well staying on the wagon in light of recent developments. She has kept a cool head concerning the news that Ben’s real estate development is about to break ground and uncover their little secret. And this wouldn’t be a week in Fairview if the girls didn’t embark on a woefully unrealistic attempt to manipulate the situation in their favor. This particular one involved trapping rare frogs to plant on the site and only Gabby (Eva Longoria) would wear a mini-dress and waders to go trolling for exotic amphibians. One would think that after this many years of friendship Bree would know better than to ask Gabby to help handle anything slimy. When they finally do get out to the woods with their shovels they find out he’s already dug up which they sort of gave away in the first few seconds of the episode. And who was the man chasing them through the woods?

Jennifer Garner shows off her witchy side for Halloween

The last time I saw a pregnant witch that looked this cute, Samantha Stevens was pregnant on Bewitched! Mommy-to-be Jennifer Garner was spotted in full costume walking through a Los Angeles, California neighborhood on Monday, October 31st, 2011. Garner was on her way to her daughter’s school to take part in some Halloween activities with the children.

In preparation for the fun day with the girls, the former Alias star visited a local salon for a manicure and a pedicure.

There is no word yet as to whether or not Jen and husband Ben Affleck will give their daughters Violet and Seraphina a little brother or sister in the coming months. I don’t know about you guys but I’d love to see them have a healthy baby boy!

Captain Obvious Reports: Jessica Simpson confirms pregnancy and Kim Kardashian files for divorce

They said it wouldn’t last….and it didn’t. News broke this morning confirming rumors that Kim Kardashian had filed for divorce from her husband of 72 days Kris Humphries. No one was surprised except apparently poor Kris.

He released a statement to TMZ basically begging Ms. Kardashian for another chance. The guy apparently meant the vows he said in front of all those people he barely knew, the television cameras and even one guest who robbed him of a large amount of money.

“I’m committed to this marriage and everything this covenant represents.”

The website further claims that the Armenian reality star dumped her man because she didn’t want to move to his native Minnesota. We really can’t blame the basketball star as he might have been blind sided by the dollar signs and not realized who his bridezilla really was.

If you don’t know now you know…

And since Captain Obvious was working overtime on this rainy Halloween, we also received confirmation that bumptastic Jessica Simpson is indeed with child. I don’t know anyone who didn’t already know this but at least it looks like J. Simps had a lot of fun creating the announcement.

The baby will be the first for the singer-turned-designer and fiancee Eric Johnson.

‘The Walking Dead’ star Steven Yeun scares up South Florida fans

As part of the Zombie Apocalypse Weekend, The Walking Deadstar Steven Yeun met with fans at Seminole Coconut Creek Casino on Saturday, October 22nd, 2011 in Coconut Creek, Florida. Joining him was movie/TV special effects makeup artist, Toby Sells (The Walking Dead, The Vampire Diaries) who brought along some scary props that are still haunting my dreams!

Yeun, who plays the role of Glenn on the hit AMC zombie drama, sat down with us for a special one-on-one interview where he told us a bit of what we can expect from his character during this exciting second season. So far we are starting to learn little bits and pieces about him and we’ve even met his soon-to-be love interest Maggie Greene (played by Lauren Cohan).

Check out our fun little interview with Steven below and find out whose brain he would eat if his character became a zombie!

Tune in Sunday nights to AMC for all new episodes of The Walking Dead! As if you weren’t already….

Orlando Bloom enjoys chilly New York with baby Flynn

One of my favorite Hollywood daddies Orlando Bloom was spotted with son Flynn during an unusually cold October in New York City, New York earlier today. (October 30th, 2011) The handsome duo looked bundled up and ready to take on the snowy conditions that took over the entire city during Halloween weekend.

Sadly Orlando’s latest film The Three Musketeers continues to plummet at the box office closing out the weekend in seventh place after Puss in Boots pummeled the competition. At least the Pirates of the Caribbean star was in good company! His former co-star Johnny Depp’s new film The Rum Diary also didn’t do too well, it took 5th place on the charts.

Did any of you get to see either film?
