The reaper was waiting.
I am mostly shocked at how unhinged Clay has become, or maybe its more that we recently discovered that he has always been this way. He has verbally accepted the fact that he murdered John Teller and now he is also to blame for putting a bullet into one of the last remaining members of the first nine. Does he have any limits?
The point here is that Clay is starting to get sloppy. There are at least 3 people who can pin Piney’s death on him without even a flinch. Gemma (Katey Sagal) will always have her mans back it seems but there is no way that Unser (Dayton Callie) and Tara (Maggie Siff) will be fooled.
All along I’ve said that it has to be Jax (Charlie Hunnam) to end it all for his evil step-father but I’m starting to see a set-up for Opie (Ryan Hurst) to finally get his revenge for the murder of his beloved wife Donna and now his father. The current VP can keep the seat warm for his best bud because I feel like he will be occupying it soon, but only after Jax himself leads the Sons into a whole new era.
But at what cost?
Jax further confirmed to Piney in a very dramatic scene at his cabin that he is more worried about the future of his family than that of the club. He has every intention of getting out and living a “normal” life with Tara and the boys.
But then we would have no show.
As much as I try to find ways for Tara to survive this season, I just don’t see it happening. The only way our boy Jax will take his true place at the head of the table will be after his wife is dead and gone. His sons will be raised by their grandmother, since she too will be a widow.
But I doubt it will be for very long where Gemma is concerned. Anyone else see the constant sparks between her and Tig (Kim Coates)? Yeah we saw him laying all sexy on that pool table before escorting the current Mrs. Murrow home for the night.
Lest we forget their “almost hook-up” in season two!
With only 5 more episodes to go, its really anyones guess what will happen to these bad boy bikers. But you can bet we ain’t seen the last drop of blood of the season.

GOOD ARTICLE!
thank you so much!
My take…he’s not dead. He was wearing a bullet proof vest.
I don’t think he is dead either. This is made pretty clear in the trailer for next weeks episode. Though I doubt he will be in the clear.
I still think he has to die.
