Get yourselves some iced water buckets, people! Because Taylor Kinney and Jesse Spencer are going to warm up your nights starting next fall on NBC’s new show, “Chicago Fire”. Yes, I said Taylor Kinney and Jesse Spencer as leading men of the same show. I know, I know, it’s too good to be true. But sometimes the TV Gods are that magnanimous. Especially when they give us three to-die-for promo photos that we can all stare at while we wait to see the pilot.
You’re not seriously telling me you won’t check this one out, are you? Besides, there’s procedural genius Dick Wolf behind this new NBC drama, so it definitely has potential from the writing standpoint, too. What, don’t even pretend the plot was your main concern for this show.
Incidentally, Mr. Kinney and Mr. Spencer play firefighters, as the drama, that promises to be action-packed, centers around the “complex and heroic men and women of the Chicago Fire Department” so you know, you may use those buckets also to help them put out fires — other than the one in your living room provoked by their own hotness? Ahem. Let me just be eternally thankful to the casting director of this show, for bringing me such a firefighter duo. Only problem may be that they produce hotness, rather than put it out. But hey, nothing’s perfect. Plus let’s face it, we all thought “oh let’s hope those fires get them so hot they’ll need to take their shirt off right after dealing with them” (quite sure that will happen soon and often, you don’t cast Kinney and Spencer to keep them fully clothed at all times. Unless you’re crazy.)
And while you wait for the fire to hit your screens this fall, enjoy the photos below. I won’t be held responsible for heart attacks, so don’t say I didn’t warn you.
“Chicago Fire” also stars Eamonn Walker (“The Messenger”), Charlie Barnett, (“Law & Order: SVU”), David Eigenberg (“Sex and the City”), Monica Raymund (“The Good Wife”), Lauren German (“Hawaii Five-O”) and Merle Dandridge (“Sons of Anarchy”). Watch for this hot (get it? hot!) new show when it premieres next fall on NBC.
