People StyleWatch teams up with Clinique for summer fun in Miami!

Clinique hosted a very special event last weekend to kick-off the summer in collaboration with People StyleWatch Magazine at Macy’s Dadeland Mall. Locals and media alike were invited to sit with a Clinique make-up artist to get a sampling of their newest and best-selling products including their Stay-Matte Oil-Free Make-Up foundation, Colour Surge Eye Shadow palettes, Quick Liner for Eyes Intense, Quick Liner for Lips, High-Impact Lip Color, and their high impact mascara.

My favorite new product is Clinique’s Stay-Matte Oil-Free Make-Up foundation which left my face looking flawless. I have a love/hate relationship with foundations in general because it’s so hard to find my match but this one was a winner!

My make-up artist at the event chose the shade “Honey” for me and as you can see in the photo above how happy I am with it! The best part was that it lasted for the rest of the day until I took it off which in humid Miami is no small feat.

She applied the foundation with a brush and she suggests this is your go-to technique to ensure you get the best results. I confess I have used both sponges and my fingers in the past and found the foundation brush provided much better coverage.

After getting all made-up, guests were invited to visit with a hair stylist before chatting with celebrity stylist Jessica Rae Anderson to learn about the hottest trends for spring/summer with pieces from all over Macy’s!

I chatted with Jessica for a bit to compare notes about the racks of beautiful items as well as how to pair them with trendy shoes and accessories that will have heads turning.
