Could you think of a more difficult task than choosing between Tom Hardy and Chris Pine? Reese Witherspoon had this very task in the action/romantic comedy This Means War which hits stores on DVD and Blu Ray on Tuesday, May 22nd.
I had the chance to review a copy last night and can assure you that the movie has all the elements of a fun spy dramedy and those of a romantic comedy that can appeal to both men and women alike. Even though you can work out how the movie will end pretty early on, the battle is extremely enjoyable to watch!
In the McG directed film, you meet Tuck (Tom Hardy) and FDR (Chris Pine)– CIA agents who are also best friends. Tuck is divorced with a son whom he’s not close to and Frank is a ladies man. Tuck decides to re-enter the dating world so he places his profile on to dating website.
Lauren, whose best friend Trish (Chelsea Handler) has added provocative photos and details to the same dating site, sees Tuck’s profile and goes on a date with him. She later bumps into Frank around the corner at a video store and he hits on her but she doesn’t really think he is her type.
She’s intrigued by both of them and decides to date them both and see who she likes better! When they learn that they’re dating the same girl, they agree to let her choose.
But both can’t help but use their skills to keep tabs on her and each other. And also sabotage each others dates with her.
How will it end? Who will she choose? Pick up your copy of This Means War tomorrow on DVD or Blu Ray! And if you need some tips on what to consider when choosing a guy, check out this fun Top Ten List with tips on what to look for in that perfect match.
