It looks like major trouble is a-brewing on USA Network’s hit show “Suits” for our beloved Harvey (the ever dashing Gabriel Macht) and Donna (played by the nothing-short-of-awesome Sarah Rafferty). And it comes in the form of Law & Order:SVU actress Diane Neal, who will play hot shot attorney Allison Holt in the upcoming sixth episode of the new season of “Suits”, according to “The Hollywood Reporter”, that first broke the casting news.
I have a couple of questions about casting here, because the character was supposed to be an extremely experienced, badass attorney in her 50s who lost a total of 3 cases in 20 years. And well, either casting and I have different takes on what “50s” means, or I’d say Ms. Neal sure doesn’t look like a 50-year-old woman whom Harvey would never take a second look at? Way too young and way too pretty to fit that profile. Oh, wait. Betting pool open: she will be carefully examining Harvey’s case by the end of the episode. With no clothes on! Ahem.
Allison Holt will show up at Pearson Hardman as Harvey’s (in)famous “burying evidence” problem rears its ugly head once again. And she will come with major endorsement from someone at the firm who isn’t exactly Jessica and Harvey’s best friend (and no, we’re not talking about the villain we love to hate, Louis, that Rick Hoffman plays so magnificently). Cue big trouble ahead as Holt cross interrogating Donna and Harvey may prove to be a much more taxing experience for their relationship than they ever thought it would be.
I don’t know about you guys, but I don’t like the thought of anyone or anything coming between Donna and Harvey. No can do. So sorry, Ms. Holt, but you’re on the black list already. And, the fact you’re so pretty and will probably end up sharing a lot more than cross-interrogating techniques with Harvey by the end of the episode doesn’t improve matters one tiny bit. Yeah well, I’m kind of possessive with my favorite TV characters. Especially when they’re elegant, sarcastic and sexy like Harvey. Sue me.
We’ll see how we can work this out as soon as the episode airs. It sure looks like it will be a majorly interesting one! Will Mike (SAG-nominated Patrick J. Adams) come to the rescue this time? Find out by tuning in to season 2 of Suits, starting Thursday, June 14 at 10 p.m. on USA Network!
