If there is one rumor that I am beyond elated at its truth is that our girl Shakira is pregnant with her first baby! Though her rep denied the claims in the past, during a recent interview in Colombia, her father William has reportedly confirmed the hip shakin’ superstar is expecting her first child with soccer hunk Gerard Pique!
Yes there are a lot of exclamation points in this story because I am a big fan of both and think they will have quite a beautiful baby! Here is what Mr. Mebarak had to say about her daughters relationship with Piqué.
“We are satisfied with the current relationship,” Mebarak said in an interview on Colombian TV show, “The Other Vision.” “It is a relationship that is 100 percent happiness, it makes them happy. What makes them happy makes me happy.”
“The happiness of our daughter is reflected in us too and we are very happy,” he continued. “He is a valuable young man.”“Hopefully the news will be made official soon,” he added.
A source has gone on record saying Shakira is as far as 6 months along in her pregnancy but is waiting to make the news public. The “Hips Don’t Lie” singer was photographed most recently supporting the Spanish footballer Euro 2012.
