When famed fashion photographer Steven Meisel photographed Kristen Stewart for a new Balenciaga ad, “comfort” was at the forefront. Even though she opened up about not knowing how to pose for the shoot, she confessed to WWD recently that she approved the advertisement for the Spanish fashion houses’ fragrance, “Florabotanica”.
”When I first stood there, Kristen said in an interview. “I was like, ‘OK, do you want me to show the curves of the dress? Do you want me to stand like this? Like that?’ And they were like, ‘Just be comfortable.’”
The 22-year-old considered herself “very lucky” that she loved the fragrance because she would have “done anything” to work with Balenciaga designer Nicolas Ghesquière. Florabotanica features notes of vetiver, amber and caladium-leaf accord, a (hybrid) rose, carnation and mint accord and is set to be released in September.
Just in time for my birthday!
The photo is beautiful though if they really wanted to show KStew looking “comfortable,” they should have let her rock her trademark Converse high tops!
