Maya Rudolph’s New Baby Boy

Funny girl Maya Rudolph sure has a full house. The former Saturday Night Live actress along with director husband, Paul Thomas Anderson, welcomed their first son and third child, Jack on July 3, according to E! News on Tuesday.

The couple decided to wait until it was time to push to find out if they were having a boy or girl. Baby Jack joins 5-year-old Pearl and 20-month-old Lucille.

Wait to go, Maya! I loved watching your hilarious acting chops on SNL and then in Bridesmaids, and boy, do I miss those many unforgettable impersonations. Being about to genuinely act, make people laugh, and raise a family in between, is quite the accomplishment and simply all around woman power.

Melissa McCarthy Gets Schooled By Joel McHale

Being a part of any type of awards show in Hollywood is big. So, naturally announcing the nominations for the Primetime Emmy’s is just kinda huge. If you were one of the lucky celebs to be graced with this honor, how would you prepare for the special occasion?

Bridemaids star Melissa McCarthy enlisted the help of comedian and star of Community, Joel McHale, to teach her the ways of announcing the highly anticipated Emmy nominations in the latest promotional video for the primetime awards. The actress is put through the tasks of showing no emotion with a puppy, waxing his car, box, fold laundry, catch golf balls with her mouth, and even try and catch a chicken, which obviously have nothing to do with the job, but are just funny to watch!

Melissa, along with Joshua Jackson, will be revealing the nominations this Thursday, July 14th at 8:40 a.m. ET in Hollywood.

With the release of the final installment of Harry Potter, are the stars struggling to move on?

Looking ever so stylish, Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint stepped out for the premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 held at Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center on Monday, July 11th, 2011 in New York City.

Emma was an absolutely stunning sight in a gold Bottega Veneta gown while co-stars Rupert and Daniel looked handsome in black suits.

After growing up before the eyes of the world as part of the hugely popular Harry Potter franchise, you can imagine how difficult it must be for the trio to move on. At their final press conference in London, Watson described how playing Hermione helped her become a better person in real life.

“I will actually just miss being her, getting to come into work every day and be this girl that lives in this magical amazing world and get to go on all the adventures that she goes on. That part’s quite devastating.”

Grint, now 22, said he still hasn’t really let go of Ron.

“After we finished (filming) a year ago now I have felt a little bit lost without it, really, and not really knowing what to do with myself.”

While Radcliffe did not attend the London press conference due to his appearance in a play on Broadway, he did touch on the strong bond the three hold in a pre-recorded video.

“I do think the bond between me and Rupert and Emma is pretty unbreakable, because I don’t think anyone knows what it’s like to go through this craziness. I will miss them both very, very much but hopefully we will find other projects to work together on.”

I will admit it is pretty sad that this franchise is ending. I was the same age as these characters when the first film came out, and being a part of this worldwide phenomenon over the years makes me feel like I’ve almost grown up with Harry, Ron and Hermione. It will be very interesting to see where this trio is in 10 years.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 hits theaters July 15th.

Kate Hudson & Victoria Beckham: Busy Baby Weekend!

Some serious Hollywood royalty was born over the weekend in La La Land!

Kate Hudson, who decided to keep the sex of her child a mystery until it was time to push, gave birth to a healthy baby boy on Saturday night in Los Angeles. The baby is her first child with fiancé Matt Bellamy of Muse and now a little brother to Ryder, her son with ex Chris Robinson.

The couple is reportedly planning to spend time in London while Bellamy is working on his sixth album. While there has been no report yet on the baby’s name, I’m leaning towards something gender neutral or even foreign. Perhaps an old family name of Bellamy?

Another powerful mommy also gave birth this weekend. David and Victoria Beckham welcomed a baby girl on Sunday in a Los Angeles hospital.

The hunkie soccer star and proud new daddy even took to Facebook announcing the name of their newest addition: Harper Seven Beckham.

“I am so proud and excited to announce the birth of our daughter Harper Seven Beckham,” the soccer star wrote.  ”She weighed a healthy 7lbs 10oz and arrived at 7.55 this morning, here in LA. Victoria is doing really well and her brothers are delighted to have a baby sister.”

Baby Harper joins big brothers Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz.

Jennifer Aniston scores star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Jennifer Aniston was honored with a hand and footprint ceremony at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California on Thursday, July 7, 2011.

Even though Aniston’s success has already made her a permanent socialite in the entertainment world, she officially sunk her hands and feet in the forecourt of the theatre. Her recent co-star Jason Bateman and BFF Chelsea Handler, joined the actress on her big day and surprisingly, new beau, Justin Theroux was also in attendance (and beardless!) just one day before the highly anticipated release of her new flick, Horrible Bosses.

The 42-year-old beauty has had quite the year leading up to this event including a new love, more money and keeping up a banging body that I can only dream about having at 22. So it’s only fitting that she take a few months off (not a year like some outlets have announced!) after working so many years straight with nearly no breaks.

According to E! News, Ms. Aniston is not looking to start any new projects until the end of the year.

First Look: Chris Hemsworth in ‘Cabin in the Woods’

Breakout Aussie, Chris Hemsworth sizzled on the screen in Thor and became an instant hit for folks—pretty much around the world. Recently, Hemsworth added Snow White and the Huntsman, opposite Kristen Stewart and the highly anticipated comic flick, The Avengers, to his plate all hitting theaters next year.

So who would have thought that a film starring hottie Hemsworth would be sitting on a shelf somewhere collecting dust and keeping the public from gazing into his piercing blue eyes?

The horror film, Cabin in the Woods, directed by Drew Goddard who also directed cabininthewoodsphoto1 Cloverfield, was supposed to have been released back in October 2009, but was delayed to convert to 3D (a horror film without 3D…the madness!). The situation got worse when things froze at MGM because of debt and other finical issues.

Back in February, it was reported that MGM was working with Sony to distribute the film sometime this year, but the release date is still TBA. The plot along with background on the characters is still relatively unknown. The only details include a group of friends that visit a cabin in the woods that is being guarded by “something”.

Hemsworth plays character, Curt Vaughan and stars alongside Richard Jenkins, Bradley Whitford and Jesse Williams.

I do hope this film gets released sometime this year because not knowing what the plot really is makes me even more interested in seeing this dream boat of a man on the big screen.

Waiting until next year is just too damn long!

Newly married Daniel Craig strikes a pose for Esquire Magazine

43-year-old actor, Daniel Craig will be gracing the cover of Esquire’s August 2011 cover. The man formally known as “James Bond” to many, has quite the busy summer ahead of him with the highly anticipated release of Cowboys & Aliens, alongside Harrison Ford and Olivia Wilde which hits the big screen on July 29th.

While the trailer has been seen both on television and in the theaters, his other project is kind of a mystery—referring to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, based on the novel by Stieg Larsson. The trailer which features no dialogue, just graphic scenes and sinister music, is also gaining a lot of attention due to the wide spread popularity of millions of beloved readers.

Craig, who also recently married actress, Rachel Weisz in secret, had many positive things to say about the Larsson film in the August issue of Esquire. esq-daniel-craig-window-0811-lg

“It’s as adult as you can possibly make it. This is adult drama. I grew up, as we f—ing all did, watching The Godfather and that, movies that were made for adults. And this is a $100 million R-rated movie. Nobody makes those anymore.”

Both of these films, different is so many ways, will be equally thrilling due to the incredible acting chops of Craig and his lovely British accent.

Cowboys & Aliens will be having a special premiere at this year’s Comic-Con in San Diego on July 23rd at 8:00 PM with director, Jon Favreau, Craig, Harrison and Wilde all in attendance.
