Verdict In, Beyoncé is GREAT

beyoncehalftime

Beyoncé’s Super Bowl XXXXVII performance was spectacular! We couldn’t stop dancing, screaming, or smiling! Fresh off the controversy from her lip-synced performance at President Obama’s Inauguration last week, the soulful singer put those negative thoughts to rest. Her set featured great hits such as “End of Time,” “Crazy in Love,” “Single Ladies,” and even a surprise reunion with Destiny’s Child! OMG! We nearly died! Here’s what the stars had to say about her performance:

Can’t Miss Flick: Warm Bodies

WARM BODIES

Have you ever heard of a zombie romantic horror comedy before? It sounds crazy, but it works! The movie I’m referring to, of course, is Warm Bodies, starring the adorable Nicholas Hoult and Teresa Palmer. Based on the novel of the same name by Isaac Marion, the story follows young zombie hottie “R” (he can’t remember the rest of his name) who falls in love with a girl named Julie after he eats her boyfriend. Honestly, the perfect start to any romance.  This sets in motion a chain of events that could change the world as they know it.  Juicy!

While I can’t give you all the details, I can say that it is a great film!  First of all, it is funny. This is a film that pokes fun at itself  while still being serious enough to make the plot believable. Look out for one scene where they pay homage to the comedy classic film Airplane! (1980). The entire theater could not stop laughing throughout the film but that one little bit was a nice surprise.

Second, the music was phenomenal. The soundtrack features music from The Black Keys, Broken Bells, and the Troggs. I’d never heard of these bands before but fell in love after watching the movie.  This seems to be a trademark for Summit Entertainment. I mean, look at the Twilight soundtrack - perfection.

The chemistry between co-stars Hoult and Palmer was undeniable. The weird thing, however, is that Hoult’s character R is dead. So does this mean necrophilia will become a thing? Or do we look at it like kissing a vampire, just a different species? So many questions but it all feels so right!

And did I tell you it was scary? Because it was! Let’s not forget that this is still a zombie film and that means creepy corpses running around.  I had to grab my movie buddy a few times. This is not for the faint of heart people!

The thing that surprised me the most was how much heart the film had and the message it left behind. After the film, I felt like hugging a total stranger. When you see the movie, you’ll understand why. It has an excellent cast lineup that includes Dave Franco from 21 Jump Street and the legendary John Malkovich. The point is, it was a great film and it will make you feel so good on the inside. Go see it!

Warm Bodies comes to theaters February 1. Check out the trailer below.

Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel say YES to “Girl Meets World”

It is OFFICIAL! Danielle Fishel and Ben Savage have signed on to reprise their roles as Topanga Lawrence and Cory Matthews in a spin-off of the hit series “Boy Meets World.”

Set years after the couple has married, “Girl Meets World” will follow their thirteen year old daughter Riley and her edgy best friend Maya. Could this be Cory and Shawn part two?  While the parent series debuted on ABC Family, the spin-off is slated to appear on The Disney Channel. We also hear that Cory will channel his inner Mr. Feeney, taking up occupation as a history teacher.

But will this series be good? We’d like to think so! “Boy Meets World” creator and executive producer Michael Jacobs is attached to the project.  William Russ, Cory’s father Alan Matthews in the original series, gave the new project his blessing. ”I’m very excited for Disney and Michael Jacobs,”  he said in a statement to HuffPost TV. “They are a great team and will produce an exceptional show, I have no doubt.”

A nationwide search for Riley is underway. Here is what Danielle Fishel had to say on her official Tumblr.

Girl Meets World

First of all, let me say that you, the fans of Boy Meets World, have been awesome.  That word is often used incorrectly by people, including myself, on a daily basis but you have truly been awe inspiring.  You, yes, even YOU, are the reason that Girl Meets World WILL BE MADE. J

I do not know how many BMW cast members will be returning for GMW, or how often they may appear if and/or when they do appear.  I am going to do my best to not speak for others with this open post.    But because I have known Michael Jacobs, Ben Savage, Rider Strong, Will Friedle, and Bill Daniels for 19 years, I know we share many of the same feelings regarding the 7 wonderful years we spent making BMW. Those years were among the most warm, hilarious, insightful, educational years of my life and I wouldn’t trade them for the world.  Another thing I wouldn’t trade for anything is the integrity and the heart with which BMW was made.  I promise with the entirety of my heart that we will make GMW with the same honesty, innocence, and intelligence that you learned to expect from BMW.

I say this because making the decision to do the show involved more conversations than you can possible imagine.  These conversations were with the same people I mentioned above because they were all instrumental in creating and maintaining the heart of BMW.  The first comment out of every person’s mouth was, “Let’s only do it if we think we can create something as special as we did with BMW.”  When the news leaked that GMW was in the making, literally days after I first heard about the project myself, Michael Jacobs and I had a conversation and we talked about how we were both so blown away by the reactions from all of you.  We felt honored. We felt nostalgic. We felt touched by the excitement in your comments, tweets, Tumblr, and Facebook posts.  But most of all, we felt inspired.  We felt inspired to bring these characters back to life and to tell you more of their stories. Michael said to me, “Danielle, when I read what people say BMW meant to them it makes me so very proud of all of us.  I think it is important for us, for as long as we are fortunate enough to have this opportunity to do GMW, that we all look each other in the eyes every so often and make sure we know we have something of value to offer the audience.”  I think we have that with GMW.

I say that so that I can say this: GMW is a new show.  It isn’t BMW brought back to life but in current day.  It will have familiar faces, familiar themes, and familiar messages.  It will also have new faces, new themes, and new messages. BMW never spoke down to the audience and we are going to do our best to never do that with GMW.  But please keep in mind that this there will be episode 1, of season 1, of a brand new show.  We started at the same place with BMW but we evolved and we evolved quickly.  For those of you who knew and loved BMW, please allow this show to evolve as well.  Stick with us. Give us a chance.

In the meantime, a sincere thank you to every one of you for all of your tweets (I read them all, every day. It killed me not to be able to talk about it!), even those of you who asked us not to do it.  There were only a few of you but I know why you don’t want GMW to happen and I appreciate that BMW meant enough to you that you don’t want to see its legacy tarnished. I can assure you, we don’t want that either. Your love, dedication, and appreciation means more to us than you could ever know and it will be the driving force behind our passion to make the best show we can possibly make. Thank you for giving us the chance to do it again.

Love,

Danielle

What are your thoughts? Are you excited? Do you think they should just leave it alone? Spill it!

TV Countdown: Vampire Diaries Season 4

Are you excited about an all new season of The Vampire Diaries? I know I’ve been counting down the minutes until I can catch of glimpse of Mystic Falls again! In case if you don’t remember where we left off after the season 3 finale, here is a recap to refresh your memory:

The Original Family finally reunited and they’re all super fabulous vampires. Elena (Nina Dobrev) finally admited her feelings for Damon (Ian Somerhalder) but still loved Stefan (Paul Wesley) and chose him in the end.  Klaus (Joseph Morgan) fell in love/like/creeper infatuation with Caroline (Candice Accola) and revealed his affinity for drawing ponies. Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) saw dead people.  Matt’s (Zach Roerig) life still sucks. Bonnie (Kat Graham) found her mother and watched her turn into a vampire. Alaric (Matt Davis) became the coolest vampire of all time and subsequently died in one of the most heartbreaking deaths ever on the show. All of us over here at AccidentalSexiness.com are still crying about it.

I’ll never let go, Jack.

In the last episode, we saw Klaus’s body staked with the only weapon able to kill an Original vampire. Thanks to Bonnie, however, Klaus’s soul was transferred into Tyler’s (Michael Trevino) body which will make for some creepy moments with Caroline next season.

Elijah (Daniel Gillies) popped in for a second to talk about Klaus but we all know it was to get one last look at Damon, his eternal love. Rebekah, probably still raging over the fact that everyone loves Elena, caused Matt’s truck to swerve off of a bridge and into the river.  Stefan, respecting Elena’s choice, saved Matt while she drowned in the truck. In a move that will certainly anger Katherine for eternity, Dr. Fell fed Elena vampire blood thus saving her from imminent death. When she enters transition at the start of next season, we’ll see if she chooses to feed or to die.

Here is CW’s official sneak preview:

There is so much going on! What are you most excited for next season? Do you think Elena will become a vampire? The Vampire Diaries returns Thursday, October 11th on the CW Network.

First Look: EW’s ‘The Hobbit’ Cover

In “this is awesome” news, Entertainment Weekly just released its sneak peak of their latest cover featuring characters Gandalf and Bilbo Baggins (played by Ian McKellen and Martin Freeman) in the much anticipated two-part film series The Hobbit.

The films will follow Bilbo Baggins, uncle to Frodo Baggins (played by Elijah Wood), on his adventures throughout Middle Earth and his eventual discovery of The One Ring. Wait, is it considered a spoiler if you’ve already seen the Lord of the Rings trilogy?

Anywho, McKellen and Freeman look positively vitalized as they breathe new life into the film franchise which has been under the radar for the last eight years, due to the last film Return of the King being released in 2003.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is set to be released on December 14th of this year. The Hobbit: There and Back Again is slated for a December 13th release of next year. We will see the return of favorites such as  Frodo Baggins, Legolas (played by Orlando Bloom), Gollum (played by Andy Serkis), and Galadriel (played by Cate Blanchett).  Meanwhile this issue of EW hits stands Tuesday, July 3rd.

What’s New with The Hobbit

Comic-Con (July 12th-15th 2012)
