REVIEW: Chuck 4.17 “Chuck vs the First Bank of Evil”

Thanks to area storms, my Chuckage was intermittent this evening. Either the picture was messing up or the weatherman was feeling the need to interupt and tell me storms were in the area (because the lightening might not have been a sufficient indicator). Chuck episodes can be rather hit-or-miss lately. This one seemed like a hit, which makes it all the less cool that my viewing experience was not optimal. Due to the fates being against me, your review this week will be a quickie.

Vivian Volkov (Lauren Cohan) is really throwing me for a loop. I like her, but [Read more...]

REVIEW: Hawaii Five-0 – 1.18 “Loa Aloha”

Loa Aloha:
Long Goodbye

I was mysteriously absent last week, and I apologize. I hope the rest of you didn’t spend a whole week without any shirtless McGarrett! Ok, I might have Googled a bit, just to make the week a bit easier.

The episode starts out grim as a judge and his daughter are out zip-lining through the Hawaii tree tops. The judge gets a mysterious phone call just before his daughter’s [Read more...]

REVIEW: Chuck – 4.16 “Chuck vs. the Masquerade”

I left you all Chuck-less last week. I apologize. This week though, I’m back. And what a great episode to come back to! This week, an evil-doer, Boris, is after “the key” that Volkov left to… someone. But who? He manages to kill nearly all of Volkov’s crew in order to find out, save one, an unknown woman named Vivian (Lauren Cohan). Vivian is holding a masquerade at her estate, and Chuck (Zachary Levi) and the gang have to find her and protect her from Boris. And they’re, in Morgan’s (Joshua Gomez) words, the best spies EVER, so they save her. But Boris gets away. It turns out Vivian is not in Volkov’s crew, she is a

REVIEW: NCIS – 8.15 “Defiance”

Well, that’ll get my interest for the show! Right off the bat we see an injured Tony (Michael Weatherly) and a rather worn looking McGee (Sean Murray). Moments later, Director Vance (Rocky Carroll) pulls up and threatens to take the pairs badges of “this” isn’t cleaned up. Oh no! Of course, Gibbs will clear it all up. But how? And how did we get to this point??

Rewind! Three days earlier… NCIS has hired themselves an uncanny Hillary Clinton [Read more...]

REVIEW: NCIS – Episode 8.14 “A Man Walks Into a Bar…”

The doctor is in. Is the NCIS team is out, of their minds? Turns out the team is way overdue for the psych evaluations. Being the best NCIS team in the world, our guys are always on the go, so Dr. Rachel Cranston (Wendy Makkena) tags along to investigate the shooting of a Naval Commander. Agent DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) makes an excellent first impression on the Doc as she walks up during his Man o’ War (horse) impression. But, he nails Agent McGee well when Dr Cranston says most people talk about their sex lives. That rules McGee (Sean Murray) out…

The doctor takes no time at all breaking into Ziva’s [Read more...]

REVIEW: Hawaii Five-0 – 1.16 “E Mālama”

E Mālama
To Protect

In tonight’s Hawaii Five-0 episode, we finally get to meet Danno’s (Scott Caan) rival, StepStan. Stan Parker is played by Mark Deklin, whom some of you may remember from the short lived Fox series Lone Star or his very successful stage career. Stan is certainly easy on the eyes, and has about 6″ on [Read more...]

REVIEW: Chuck – Episode 4.14 “Chuck vs the Seduction Impossible”

After last week’s epic wrap up of several story lines, this week’s Chuck was a great fresh-ish start! Chuck (Zachary Levi) and Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) are FINALLY engaged. Chuck’s mom (Linda Hamilton) is FINALLY free of Volkov and back in the his and Ellie’s lives. Ellie (Sarah Lancaster) FINALLY gave birth to little Clara. Ok, so maybe no one was stressing over that story line, but it’s still good to wrap it up. So, we begin this week with fresh new issues to worry about.

First and foremost, it’s time for [Read more...]
