REVIEW: Desperate Housewives “Truly Content”

This week on Wisteria Lane, Tom gets high, Susan runs around in her underwear, and Carlos gets really really pissed.

If you recall last week Tom was diagnosed with the male form of post-partum depression and Lynette was less than supportive. She’s too busy raising five children (only three of whom are ever seen at any one time) to concern herself much with his moods so his depression deepens. She tries [Read more...]

REVIEW: Fringe “The Plateau”

I can’t express just how much I love Fringe. JJ Abrams (the LOST guy) has given us a crossover between 24 and The X-Files with some Dawson’s Creek thrown in for eye candy. I’m sure there is a Jack Bauer/Olivia Dunham crossover fiction somewhere on the internet, or maybe even some Peter Bishop/Jack Bauer slash fiction but I don’t think I’ll bother checking.

The real thing is more than enough to keep me entertained now that my all time favorite 24 is gone. Let’s pause for a moment of silence.

Who would have thought that little Jenn Lindley from Dawson’s Creek would one day portray a legendary screen goddess? Check out this pic of Michelle Williams as Marilyn Monroe from the new film My Week With Marilyn.

Glee Plans Response to Recent Gay Teen Suicides

With the suicides of several gay teens in the news lately it is no surprise that the folks at Glee are planning to tackle the topic on an upcoming episode. The story will focus on the fear and isolation that many gay teens face every day.

In response to the suicide of 18-year-old Tyler Clementi in New Jersey, author Dan Savage started a YouTube channel called The Trevor Project. Dozens of celebrities have posted [Read more...]

REVIEW: “Glee” Grilled Cheesus?

Any worries that I had about season two of Glee being light on plot and heavy on flashy artist tributes are now officially laid to rest. Glee had a come-to-Jesus episode tonight that set everything right in the world.

To kick things off, Finn saw the face of Jesus in his grilled cheese sandwich and had a religious epiphany. He dubbed the dairy deity “Grilled Cheesus” and proclaimed Him super delicious. Then he immediately fell to his knees in prayer, asking Grilled Cheesus for the opportunity to fondle Rachel’s awesome perky bosoms.

The next day Finn suggests that the Glee club put aside the [Read more...]

REVIEW: Desperate Housewives “You Must Meet My Wife”

Creepy Paul is back on Wisteria Lane this year and from the looks of things he is going to be acting creepy all season. In case you haven’t been following along for the past six seasons, Paul is the guy who’s wife Mary Alice committed suicide in season one and now narrates the show from her omniscient perch in heaven. Like she has nothing better to do in the afterlife than gossip about her neighbors. I don’t even know my neighbors. I love Desperate Housewives. I think of it as this generation’s Knots Landing, so meet me at the mailbox and I’ll tell you what’s been going on.

Bree is alone again and having urges, and who can blame her with hunky Brian Austin Green [Read more...]

Do you want to see “The Boss” on Glee?

Rumour has it that Bruce Springsteen is in talks to play Finn Hudson’s (Cory Monteith) uncle in an upcoming episode of Glee. Bruce has done very little acting in his career, appearing on the big screen only once in the 2000 film High Fidelity. When Jane Lynch heard the news she thought the idea was “amazing”.

Bruce is not the only one trying to get a bit of the Gleek love. When [Read more...]
