As a tan skinned Latina, I have lived my life with a few misconceptions. The biggest one would have to be that darker skinned people do not need to wear sunblock. I was never the type of person to sit out and bake in the sunlight so I figured I was safe from harmful rays.
I learned a few years ago that NO ONE is safe from the sun.
