Arizona Muse dazzles in Estee Lauder at Anthony Vaccarello

If you are suffering from post-New York Fashion Week blues you are in luck! Paris Fashion Week is in full swing and we have some of the hottest beauty trends to share with you.

Estée Lauder Global Spokesmodels Arizona Muse and Constance Jablonski hit the runway for the Anthony Vaccarello Spring 2013 show at the Docks En Seine on Tuesday, September 25th with make-up and nails done by the luxury beauty brand. This is the second season Estée Lauder sponsors the beauty look for the French label known for exposing the sexiness of the female leg via beauties like Gwyneth Paltrow and Karlie Kloss.

Estée Lauder Creative Makeup Director Tom Pecheux led a team of 15 artists to create the stunning look on more than 25 models – while manicurist Christina Conrad and her team polished their nails with a new Pure Color Nail Lacquer Collection that was tested backstage.

“Anthony’s clothes are much looser and more fluid this season, with pleating and wrapping around the body, which is what inspired me. I wanted to continue this story through the makeup, so I created a very fluid, very liquid look, with an aqua, transparent feeling – like a reflection of water on the eyes. But Anthony’s clothes are also powerful, so I added a graphic element by using a blue eyeliner with a touch of metallic.” – Tom Pecheux, Estée Lauder Creative Makeup Director

Steal My Emmy Look: Mindy Kaling

One of my favorite funny girls, Mindy Kaling, looked absolutely phenomenal on the red carpet last night! Mindy rocked a dark green St. John dress with a thin gold belt at her waist for the 64th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California. As a fellow curvy girl, I love that Mindy always wears outfits that show off her assets!

Now before I tell you how you can recreate Mindy’s fabulous Emmy hairstyle, I have to let you guys know about her new show The Mindy Project. I’m a hardcore drama junkie when it comes to choosing tv shows and I don’t think I’ve been as excited about any comedy in quite some time! It’s smart, it’s funny, and a bit dark…just like I like it! Make sure you tune in to Fox, tomorrow night at 9:30 pm on Fox to support our girl!

So you say you are loving Mindy’s sexy waves?  Stylist Luke Chamberlain looked to another era for inspiration!

To compliment the 70’s, drapey feel of Mindy’s St. John gown, stylist Luke Chamberlain drew his inspiration from style icon Bianca Jagger. Staying away from anything too rough in texture, the key was to achieve a soft and romantic look through voluminous hair that would complement the romantic gown.

Here is how you can imitate this look at home and what products you need to use:

STEP-BY-STEP:
1. Started with damp hair, applied Matrix Biolage Volumizing Mousse section by section throughout
2. Added a small amount of Biolage ExquisiteOil Replenishing Treatment, later blow dried the hair with a medium boar bristle round brush sealing in the oil and mousse achieving healthy body with tons of shine
3. Used a 1” barrel curling iron wrapping it in a figure eight pattern continuing this technique with all sections throughout the hair, later placing the curls in 1 inch Velcro curlers while allowing to cool
4. Removed the rollers and brushed out the hair creating lush and voluminous waves
5. Finished off the look with Matrix Total Results Amplify Hairspray to lock in volume for the rest of the night

PRODUCTS USED:
* MATRIX BIOLAGE Volumizing Mousse ($16, Matrix.com for salon locations)
* MATRIX Biolage ExquisiteOil Replenishing Treatment ($22, Matrix.com for salon locations)
* MATRIX Total Results Amplify Hairspray ($15, Matrix.com for salon locations

Steal My Emmy Look: Sofia Vergara

Sofia Vergara was golden at the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards held at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Sunday, September 23rd, 2012 in Los Angeles, California. The Latina stunner hit the red carpet in a teal Zuhair Murad gown that featured a sexy open cut showing off her lower back. Sadly, Sofia suffered a wardrobe malfunction 20 minutes before going on stage with her cast mates to accept the “Best Comedy Series” award!

Yes!!!! This happend 20 min before we won!!!! Jajajajja. I luv my life!!!!,” Sofia tweeted with a photo showing a damaged zipper and her booty! (See photo in gallery below)

Don’t you find that a sense of humor during a challenging time makes a woman even more beautiful?!

Sofia rocked an easy, breezy look by make-up artist Kayleen McAdams who shares tips on how to get this look at home with new and classic products from COVERGIRL.

“The inspiration for Sofia’s look was chocolate and caramel!,” McAdams said. “Chocolatey brown eyes, caramel colored lips. With a dress like hers, I wanted her makeup to look delicious and sexy.”

I started by applying NatureLuxe Silk Foundation in Nutmeg #360 all over the face and blended into the neck. I then used TruConceal #4 under the eyes, around the nose and on any spots where needed. I finished with a light dusting of Clean Pressed Powder in Soft Honey and Cheekers Blush in Sierra Sands to set the base.

On the eyes, I started by applying Eye Enhancers 1-Kit Shadow in Brown Smolder all over the lid and followed that with the Perfect Point Plus Eyeliner in Espresso just at the root of the lashes. I also used Perfect Point Plus Eyeliner in Espresso on the bottom lashes and set that liner with Queen Collection 1-Kit Shadow in Copper Penny. I applied three coats of LashBlast Volume Mascara on both the top and bottom lashes to lengthen and add volume.

Sofia and I wanted to do something different on her lips, so we chose a shade that she never used before – and we loved the change. I tried tons of different lipsticks on my arm! We looked them all over and tried three different shades before finding the perfect one. I wanted the lip to look like caramel, so I added a little gloss. I filled in Sofia’s lips with LipPerfection Lip Color in Captivate, and then went back over the edge of the lips with LipPerfection Lip Liner in Smoky to fill them out and keep her lipstick in place. I topped it all off with Queen Collection Lip Gloss in Sugar and Spice just in the center of the lips.

“To keep Sofia’s look fresh all night, I gave her powder, lipstick, lip liner and gloss to keep in her purse. Sofia can’t live without LashBlast Volume Mascara, so I also keep my kit well stocked with extras.”

Georgia May Jagger: New Face of Roberto Cavalli Fragrance!

“She’s Got Moves Like Jagger” (Mick is her dad after all!) but I don’t think that is the only reason Georgia May Jagger landed this new gig! Roberto Cavalli has announced this morning that the British model has been hired as the new face for his latest “Just Cavalli” fragrance which is set to launch next February.

“Georgia is the perfect choice to incarnate Just Cavalli, the famed fashion designer said. “She is a playful temptress.”

Georgia, who is equally as flattered to work with Cavalli and he is with her, will star in both the print and television campaigns set to debut early next year.

“Roberto Cavalli is a great designer. The Just Cavalli brand is very sexy, young and cool,” said Georgia May. “Each collection is very contemporary and colourful; it is clearly for the younger generation who wants to have a trendy look.

“It is the first fragrance that I have ever done so it is a huge honour.”

The 20-year-old has worked with other notable brands including Chanel, H&M, Rimmel London, and Versace.

REVIEW: Dove® Clinical Protection Deodorant

Sponsored Post

It offers the perfect combination of protection and defense against wetness, Dove® Clinical Protection Deodorant has become a product that I can’t live without. I was a little worried about the “original scent” since I have sensitive skin, but I found that not only did it not have an adverse effect, but it actually kept me smelling fresh all day!

What you get in this product is “clinical strength” without the prescription as well as no aluminum chloride or alcohols that can irritate the skin.  It also contains vitamins E and F and 1/4 moisturizers.

Plus with the travel size version (shown above), I can have the power I need no matter where I am.  This comes in handy when I’m having to rush between events and meetings and I don’t want to sweat in my pretty outfits!  It should be noted that the deodorant does not leave white residue behind to ruin clothing.

The price point is a little higher than what you pay for regular deodorants but you are purchasing a product that is prescription strength and worth every dime.  At home I have a cemetery of all the deodorants I’ve acquired in the last few months because I was searching for the perfect one for me so in the end you will save money.

Note: I tried out this product at night before bed as recommended on the box and in the morning. The results lasted longer and kept me dry after applying it at night.

*Disclosure: I was compensated to review this product but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Top Knots: Kelly Osbourne battles Kim Kardashian!

It’s the hottest trend to hit Hollywood since the sock bun, the top knot is catching on as is evident by these images of Kelly Osbourne and Kim Kardashian! When I first saw Kelly wearing it around her native London, I figured it was a one off thing since she likes to have fun with her clothing and hair. This is, after all, the girl who has been rockin’ purple hair for months now!

But last night, reality star Kim Kardashian walked the red carpet for the E! Networks Brand Evolution event in Sydney, Australia with a similar looking top knot atop her head!  And while her ‘do didn’t remind us of  Cindy Lou Who (Sorry Kelly!), it does look like this is the start of a hot new trend.

Would you wear a top knot like Kelly and Kim?

Bloody Good Time at NYFW: Sally Hansen for Prabal Gurung

Are you currently obsessed with nail lacquers? If so, you must check-out this not-so-cutesy bit of fabulous nail art straight off the runway at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York City!

Now don’t get me wrong, I’m totally into the girly glitter and polka dots, but sometimes a girl just wants to be bad-girl sexy. If you can relate then this story is for you!

Sally Hansen Nail Ambassador TracyLee Percival was backstage at the Prabal Gurung runway show at Hudson River Park’s Pier 57 on Saturday, September 8th, 2012 where she applied the “dripping blood” look on models before they hit the runway. She used Prabal Gurung for Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in “Angel Bite” (available in stores March 2013) over bare nails that were filed in an oval shape.

Sally Hansen’s Complete Salon Manicure line is an all-in-one formula that combines all the 5 steps of a professional salon manicure—a base coat, a strengthener, a growth treatment, rich color and a top coat—in a single multi-tasking polish.

For those of you that want to attempt this look at home, might I suggest you pick-up Sally Hansen’s Complete Salon Manicure in “Red Zin” since we have to wait so long for “Angel Bite” to hit stores. Then, as StacyLee suggests, using a fine-tip striper brush, dip into the polish and hold above the nail and let the color bead splash onto the nail. Use the brush further to connect the “blood lines” and voila!

So very Dexter meets True Blood right?!
