Sweet Valley High coming to theaters?

The rumor on the streets is that Diablo Cody is planning to bring the Sweet Valley High franchise back to life! The woman who garnered much acclaim for her screenplay of 2007′s Juno is rumored “to have been hired by hired to write a script based on the young adult book series created by Francine Pascal and set in an idyllic California town.”

The “Sweet Valley” novels followed the lives of identical twins with dissimilar personalities — the sensitive and practical Elizabeth and the flighty and boy-crazy Jessica — in the fictional town of Sweet Valley. There were more than 150 books in the series between 1983 and 2003 and a TV series with 88 episodes between 1994 and 1997.

As a young girl I loved reading this books and watching the show on television. I know its a bit corny but does anyone else hope this makes it to the big screen?

Channing Tatum for 3rd Twilight movie?

Channing Tatum fans rejoice! The actor is currently being considered for an upcoming role in the 3rd installment of the Twilight Saga, Eclipse.

“There’s a very big battle at the end with Riley, and I think Channing would do that so well,” Twilight and New Moon screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, who is currently writing the Eclipse script, told E! News this weekend at the Los Angeles Times Book Festival benefit for the Writers Guild Foundation.

“And there are some complexities to that character,” she adds. “He really is tragic. He’s a puppet for Victoria [bad-girl vampire played by Rachelle Lefevre]. So he has to break your heart a little bit at the end when he realizes that she doesn’t want him. Channing could do that beautifully.”

I love how they cast hot guys for the bad guy roles! But then I get so sad when they kill them off like James (Cam Gigandet) in Twilight!

Do you want to see Channing Tatum in Eclipse?

milano-book

One of my favorite actresses that I grew up watching on tv, Alyssa Milano has written a book about her love of baseball entitled, Safe at Home, Confessions of a Baseball Fanatic. The Charmed actress visited with The Today Show this morning to share why baseball has been such a major part of her life.

She also chats about her current engagement to David Bugliari.

Sexy can I….?

I thought this week couldn’t get any better?!  My friend Richie just went to the Booky Wook book siging at the Barnes & Nobles in New York to get me a Brand autograph.  As expected the place was packed with gorgeous women and sexy gay men, some of which were spotted grabbing his ass!! (with permission!!)

Richie managed to slip him our site address to which Russy said, Accidental Sexiness…that is the story of my life!! Maybe he will check out all my repressed fangirl fantasies I have about him on here.

I was ready to pick up and fly to New York to see him tomorrow night but alas, Richie did not win the raffle.  But if any of you are in New York, check him out at the Hammerstein Ballroom.  Go on, so I can die of jealousy!!

Russell was on the Morning Show with Mike and Juliet this morning.  Is it just me or does Juliet not really know how to read too well?

Harry Potter’s first edition makes lots of $$$ magically appear!

hpotter01

A softcover copy of the first Harry Potter book has sold for just over $19,000, according to a Dallas auction house.

“Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” was one of only 200 copies from the first printing issued with illustrated wrappers by London publisher Bloomsbury.

@ NY Daily News

If you haven’t read the Harry Potter books, as cliche’ as it sounds, they are leaps and bounds better than the movies although they are great movies nonetheless. What’s ironic is that I’ve been toying with the idea of reading the books once more. It doesn’t surprise me that this book was able to generate such a high bid at auction, being that this series of books will no doubt surpass generations of readers much like The Lord of the Rings series has trancended generations as well.

The winning bid of $19,120 was nearly double the previous record for a softcover Harry Potter book, Heritage Auction Galleries says.

“A possibility, yes,” he said. “I think it’s a possibility.”

Russy will reprise his role from Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Aldous Snow in the new Apatow flick.

Don’t forget to check him out all over tv this week while he is out promoting his Booky Wook.  For you lucky bitches in New York, he will be doing a book signing at Barnes & Noble 33 East 17th Street,New York, NY on Wednesday at 7pm.  If any of you go, get me a signed copy!
