Minka Kelly and Diane Von Furstenberg have heart

Minka Kelly and Diane von Furstenberg posed for photographers at the Heart Truth’s Red Dress Collection 2012 Fashion Show held at Hammerstein Ballroom on February 8, 2012 in New York City.

“Showing a little heart” never goes out of style, that’s why Minka and the iconic fashion designer teamed up with Diet Coke and the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute’s (NHLBI) The Heart Truth® campaign. The goal: to raise awareness of women’s heart health educational programs. Five lucky Diet Coke fans joined these women for the star-studded Red Dress Collection Fashion Show today which kicked-off New York Fashion Week.

This year marks the fifth year Diet Coke will play an active role in The Heart Truth® campaign. Diet Coke is taking its efforts online, on packaging and on the runway to call attention to women’s heart health educational programs. Ms. Kelly joined Diet Coke on the Red Dress runway in a custom Diane von Furstenberg dress!

“I loved the creativity the winners showed in their photos, and now I can’t wait to show off Ms. von Furstenberg’s creation and raise awareness at the Red Dress Collection Fashion Show,” said Minka Kelly. “Heart health is important for women of every age, and it’s up to each of us to help spread the word to the women we love.”

The Heart Truth® supporters can also help raise funds for the cause by “donating a tweet.” For each person who re-tweets Diet Coke’s The Heart Truth® post on February 8, Diet Coke will donate $1 to the FNIH, up to $100,000.

Christian Louboutin celebrates 20th anniversary with Miami fashionistas

It was a magical day on Monday, February 6th, 2011 when world-renowned shoe designer Christian Louboutin made a special appearance at the Saks Fifth Avenue in Bal Harbour, Florida to celebrate his 20th anniversary. More than 600 local fashionistas lined up to meet Mr. Louboutin who spent nearly 2 1/2 hours signing the famous red bottom heels with a colorful array of pens!

To celebrate the anniversary, the brand launched a limited edition capsule collection with some of the most delicious pairs of shoes I have ever seen! The collection, which included handbags as well, were inspired by his work over the past 20 years and will be available in store in March.

The event had a fun Cuban vibe with lite bites and drinks from Bongo’s and a salsa band that kept everyone entertained while trying on shoes or waiting in line.

We are very pleased to host Mr. Louboutin and help him celebrate his 20th anniversary”. commented Deborah Slack, Vice President and General Manager of Saks Fifth Avenue, Bal Harbour. “We’ve had a long-standing relationship with Christian since the beginning and look forward to the next 20 years”

The celebration continued at The Dutch located inside The W Hotel where 60 honored guests feted Mr. Louboutin in a more intimate setting. I sat with my friend and fellow blogger Annie Vazquez from TheFashionPoet.com to chat about all the breathtaking pieces we’d seen at Saks while enjoying some delicious bites including Little Oyster Sandwiches, Pasta with Pesto & Sweet Peppers & Pine Nuts, Steamed Red Snapper, and Braised Short Ribs.

We wrapped up the evening chatting with the honored guest before stopping for a quick photo. ’twas a magical night indeed!

Katherine Heigl unleashes her inner animal in Michael Kors dress!

On the final stop of her promotional tour for her latest film One For the Money, Katherine Heigl attended a special photo call in Berlitz, Germany this morning. The mommy-of-one looked stunning in a zebra print Michael Kors dress as she smiled for photographers at the Hotel de Rome.

Based on the best selling novel by Janet Evanovich, the action thriller tells the story of unemployed and newly-divorced Stephanie Plum (Heigl). She lands a job at her cousin’s bail-bond business, where her first assignment puts her on the trail of a wanted local cop from her romantic past.

The film co-stars Jason O’Mara, John Leguizamo, Debbie Reynolds and Sherri Shepherd. It closed in 6th place this week at the box office trailing behind Chronicle, The Woman in Black, The Grey, Big Miracle, and Underworld: Awakening respectively.

Meet Christian Louboutin at Saks Bal Harbour today!

It’s only February and Saks Fifth Avenue continues to roll out some of the best fashion events in South Florida! To celebrate his 20th anniversary, renowned shoe designer Christian Louboutin will be making a special appearance at Saks Bal Harbour this afternoon where he will unveil his special limited-edition capsule collection!

Guests will have the opportunity to meet Mr. Louboutin and have their full-priced purchases made that day signed. The afternoon will also include music, cocktails, bites and shopping.

The party begins at 4:30 pm and will continue until 7pm.

I have a feeling that lots of ladies will be arriving in Louboutin’s trademark red bottom shoes. They are coveted all over the world and now you can own a pair signed by Christian himself!

Plus with his tremendous celebrity fanbase (which includes the likes of Blake Lively, Kim Kardashian, Beyonce, Katy Perry, Jessica Alba, Jennifer Lopez, Sarah Jessica Parker…..oh who am I kidding? They all wear them!) you never know who might stop by.

Eva Mendes rocks Dolce and Gabbana on Marie Claire cover for March

Eva Mendes is featured on the cover of the March issue of Marie Claire….though it barely looks like her! Why on Earth they had to do so much Photoshop on her is beyond me, but she pretty much looks like a huge head on a disproportioned body.Good thing she is wearing this bejeweled Spring/Summer 2012 bustier from Dolce and Gabbana, it’s absolutely stunning on her! Well at least the body parts in the image that actually belong to her.Sorry but I doubt her arms are that thin….and her hair looks like it was pasted on as an afterthought.  I would love to a see a copy of the original image that was shot for this just to compare what was edited.

Steal My Look: Minka Kelly is red hot in Miami

When you are in a room full of celebrities like Ryan Phillippe, Alex Rodriguez, and Gloria Estefan, it might be hard to stand out. This was obviously not the case for 31-year-old Minka Kelly who looked muy caliente on the red carpet at the Bacardi 150th Anniversary celebration on January 28, 2012 in Miami, Florida.

She wore a red, sleeveless Nonoony dress which she paired with nude Brian Atwood pumps. (Which is a great way for us shorter gals to make our legs look longer!)

If you want to “steal” this celebrity look for less, I found this beautiful Coast Aylenna Dress from ASOS that features the same boat neckline and the slight flair in the skirt for $89.53. Paired with the Penelope Patent Platform Pump from A’Gaci for $26.50, you can look like Minka at a fraction of the cost!

Amanda Seyfried helps catapult Glamour Magazine into a new era!

Photographed by Ellen von Unwerth in Los Angeles, California, Amanda Seyfried appears on Glamour’s March cover wearing a hot!hot!hot! floral Pierre Balmain top, Hudson jeans and Candy Ice amethyst and diamond earrings. This is the debut issue of the “new and improved” Glamour that features all new content, no two pages are alike.

You will notice that even the cover shot is very different to the traditional hand-on-hip pose! Amanda looks sultry and sexy even though she is seemingly just trying to blow out her hair.

Inside the issue, Amanda chats on the phone in a green and gold studded Versace dress; gives herself a pedicure in a pink Cushnie et Ochs dress, J/Hadley sapphire earrings and Christian Louboutin black satin heels; flirts in a pink 3.1 Phillip Lim tank and J Brand/Christopher Kane denim shorts; and hangs by the pool in a Prada bodysuit and Jimmy Choo pumps.

The 26-year-old, who is currently shooting the Linda Lovelace biopic, Lovelace in Los Angeles alongside Juno Temple, James Franco, and Peter Sarsgaard, opened up about what is was like the first time she watched Deep Throat!

“What surprised me is the amount of pubic hair! I’m pretty sure I would never do a full frontal in a movie—for personal reasons, I wouldn’t really want to show that.”

She also talked about matters of the heart, specifically ex-boyfriend Dominic Cooper with whom she co-starred in the smash hit Mamma Mia! in 2008.

“My God, yeah. He was my last real boyfriend. We still joke about having kids, like, ‘If it doesn’t work out with other people, we might as well just have a child.’ And there’s a part of that that feels…possible.”

Could there be a reconciliation in the cards? If not, could there be a chance at love with her In Time co-star Justin Timberlake?

“Oh, I think any female that meets him at first is like, ‘I want to date you.’ He seems so perfect, but you get to know him, and he’s a good pal. He’ll tell you what he really feels. But, you know, he’s really famous, which has its downsides.”
