“The Hunger Games” star Jennifer Lawrence poses pretty for Glamour Magazine

On my way to Vancouver, British Colombia last week, I finally read The Hunger Games and have been totally taken over by the fever! So now every time I see something pertaining to the film makes me jump for joy, like this beautiful cover of Glamour Magazine’s April issue featuring Jennifer Lawrence.

The 21-year-old actress was photographed by Alexei Hay in Beverly Hills, wearing a gold top by Elie Tahari, white Lucky jeans and a Jennifer Meyer bracelet on the cover. Inside the magazine, she wears a Yves Saint Laurent jumpsuit and Michael Kors ring while she channels Katniss with a bow and arrow; and she wears a flower wreath in a grey dress and gold belt by Lanvin, briefs by Marc Jacobs and a Michael Kors cuff.

In the article she talks about beating out some pretty big names in Hollywood to score the role of Katniss in the big screen version of Suzanne Collins’ novel with the same name and whether she is team Gale or team Peeta! But is she ready to be catapulted into super stardom a la Kristen Stewart and Emma Watson?

I feel like I’m in the eye of the hurricane right now. I just recently started cleaning like I’m insane, and I’m starting to think it’s my anxiety over the movie. I think it’s a bit like, “I’m just cleaning the refrigerator handle. The movie’s not coming out. I’m going to clean it spotless, and then my life will not change.” It’s just scary. I feel like I got a ticket to go to another planet and I’m moving there and there’s no turning back, and I don’t know if I’m going to like that other planet or have friends there. It’s daunting.

Mark Wahlberg suits up in Australia to promote ‘Contraband’

Mark Wahlberg suited up Down Under where he is promoting his latest film, Contraband. The Boston native made a special appearance at a photo call for the crime drama on Monday, February 20th, 2012 in Sydney, Australia.

The 40-year-old looked dapper in his dark ensemble as he flashed a smile to photographers!

Set in New Orleans, the film explores the cutthroat underground world of international smuggling – full of desperate criminals and corrupt officials, high-stakes and big payoffs-where loyalty rarely exists and death is one wrong turn away. Chris Farraday (Wahlberg) long ago abandoned his life of crime, but after his brother-in-law, Andy (Caleb Landry Jones), botches a drug deal for his ruthless boss, Tim Briggs (Giovanni Ribisi), Chris is forced back into doing what he does best-running contraband-to settle Andy’s debt.

Chris is a legendary smuggler and quickly assembles a crew with the help of his best friend, Sebastian (Ben Foster), to head to Panama and return with millions in counterfeit bills. Things quickly fall apart and with only hours to reach the cash, Chris must use his rusty skills to successfully navigate a treacherous criminal network of brutal drug lords, cops and hit men before his wife, Kate (Kate Beckinsale), and sons become their target.

Mark continues promoting Contraband this Friday at The Jameson Dublin International Film Festival in Ireland.

Tom Felton and David Anders take on MegaCon!

Two of my all-time favorite actors, Tom Felton and David Anders, made special appearances at MegaCon in Orlando, Florida over the weekend and one of our faithful readers Becca has all the details! Though she is not an avid viewer of the CW hit The Vampire Diaires, she checked out the panel featuring 30-year-old Anders who starred in Alias, Heroes, and Grey’s Anatomy before descending upon Mystic Falls, Virginia.

Becca mentioned the panel was really fun, David spoke about what a great time he had working with J.J. Abrams and about how his double-crossing character Julian Sark was supposed to get a spin-off. Sigh…since that is not going to happen, fans of the ABC fairy tale drama Once Upon A Time will be happy to hear his character Dr. Wales will be coming back for more episodes!

Anders also made a mention about a funny fan moment he will never forget.

“A fan once found the number to my parents house and called up to have a nice long chat with my mom who answered every single question, Anders recalled. “She’s just such a sweetheart that I don’t think she realized what happened!”

Tom Felton has become quite the staple in Orlando, Florida. He is often photographed visiting The Wizarding World of Harry Potter where he reminisces about his time at Hogwarts alongside Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint.

Nearly 600 fans welcomed him to the panel with whistles to the tune of the recognizable Harry Potter song before plowing him with questions like, “What was it like hugging Voldemort? (was it squishy?), to “are you typecast due to Draco being bleach blonde?”

Funny enough, Tom opened up about the infamous “hug” scene with co-star Ralph Fiennes and how it was totally unscripted and he mentioned how directors don’t even recognize him from his most famous role to date!

The hug wasn’t in the script and out of about 30 or so takes, Ralph Fiennes just reached over and hugged him, Becca recounted. He said the shock on his face in the scene was genuine because it was completely unexpected.” “As far as being typecast…Tom confesses directors don’t even realize he is the same guy who played the villanous Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter series!

That must be why Tommy has been rockin’ a more brunette shade since wrapping on the highly popular series!

Big thank you to Becca for her fantastic photos and detailed quotes straight from the best panels at MegaCon! Make sure to follow this “Undercover GeekGirl” on Twitter via this link @rbfletcher and her blog here.

Robert Pattinson shows off buzz cut in Berlin!

Proving that he isn’t afraid to change up his hairstyle, Robert Pattinson stuns fans with a new buzz cut during a press conference for his new film Bel Ami. These images show the Twilight hunk while chatting with the media during day nine of the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival held at the Grand Hyatt on Friday, February 17th, 2012 in Berlin, Germany.

I remember when I interviewed him during 2011 San Diego Comic Con and he came across the press line with a somewhat buzz cut with a weird little wave. He’s adventurous with his style and I love that!

His beautiful co-star Christina Ricci was also in attendance, commanding some attention of her own in a low-cut, blue dress that fit her trim figure perfectly.

The Declan Donnellan directed drama tells the story of Georges Duroy (Pattinson), a young journalist’s corrupt rise to power from poverty to one of the most successful men in Paris via the beds of the city’s most glamorous and influential women.

You gotta give the guy credit for picking such varied roles to separate his on-screen identity from the vampire Edward Cullen in the highly successful Twilight series.

Bel Ami, which also stars Uma Thurman, Kristin Scott Thomas, and Holly Grainger, is set to hit theaters on March 2nd.

Gael Garcia Bernal set to ride as Zorro

Following in the footsteps of fellow Latino Antonio Banderas, Gael Garcia Bernal has landed the coveted role of Zorro! I could not be happier for Gael whose worked I’ve admired since I first discovered him in 2000′s Amores Perros.

According to Variety who broke the news yesterday, the hunky Mexicano will don the famous cape and mask in the 20th Century Fox reboot, Zorro Reborn. They do clarify that this film has nothing to do with the original Zorro films starring the aforementioned Banderas, since Sony is making their own film about the masked outlaw–a prequel.

Don’t expect to see Antonio back for that one, not even a cameo! When I spoke to him during a Puss In Boots media event I asked him whether or not he had been asked to participate or if he even had any interest and he gave me a very firm “NO”.

Now for some juicy details on Zorro Reborn, which is being billed as “a futuristic reboot of the Zorro mythology that will not be set in California or Mexico, despite the story’s Western themes. Garcia Bernal would play the Spanish swordsman as a masked vigilante bent on revenge,” according to Variety.

No word yet on what pretty lady will play opposite Gael, but I’m sure the won’t have a hard time finding someone spectacular to star alongside him.

Any thoughts on who would be perfect for the role?

Benjamin Walker ready to kick butt in first trailer for ‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’

What better way to celebrate Abraham Lincoln’s birthday than with the first trailer from the fantasy/thriller, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter?! Twentieth Century Fox released the action-packed vid based on Seth Grahame-Smith’s book by the same name.

The Timur Bekmambetov directed film follows the 16th President of the United States who is fictionally portrayed in the novel and the film as having a secret identity as a vampire hunter. His passion to crush vampires and their slave-owning helpers was fueled after his mother was killed by a supernatural creature.

The film, which opens in theaters on June 22nd, also stars Dominic Cooper, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and Rufus Sewell.

Super Bowl Trailers: ‘The Avengers’ and ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’

These are the moments when my inner fangirl jumps out and just wants to run around the street and knock everyones door and say, “Have you seen the new trailer for The Avengers?” For so long I’ve loved Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man and now Chris Hemsworth as Thor and lest we forget, Chris Evans as Captain America— and NOW they are all together in one film?!

They better clear the IMAX theater and let me watch on my own, I will probably cheer throughout the entire film. #notlying

Let me take a second to catch my breath…..

Another trailer that aired during tonights Super Bowl extravaganza was the one for G.I. Joe: Retaliation. After watching the first G.I. Joe I was sure that I would NEVER want to see another one but who can say no to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Channing Tatum?

I am constantly reminded of how the first one didn’t look so bad on during the trailers so I will try not to get too excited.

Without further ado, here are the trailers!
