Santigold rocked the house at Absolut’s Miami Launch Party

There is a reason Miami is known as The Magic City! Not only do we know how to party but we have some of the most breathtaking locations and warm temperatures you won’t see anywhere else this time of year!

Absolut Vodka celebrated the launch of their sixth limited edition, city-inspired flavor—ABSOLUT MIAMI at the Fontainebleau Hotel on South Beach last week. Headlining the event was singer/songwriter Santigold who entertained the excited crowd with her high energy and popular hits.

Speaking of the crowd, do you guys know that one of my favorite artists of all time was in attendance?!  Yep, Taylor Dayne was in the house jammin’ to the bumpin’ beat!

I wish I could have taken you all with me so that you could have seen the crazy bars Absolut set-up throughout the hotel’s outdoor garden area! They had drinks flowing all night including three signature cocktails: Absolut® Miami Mojito, Absolut® Miami South Beach Breeze, and the Absolut® Miami Sizzle.

Absolut Miami features a citrus combination inspired by the Sunshine State – passion fruit and orange blossom. My favorite cocktail of the night was the South Beach Breeze.

To make this at home all you need is:

2 PARTS ABSOLUT MIAMI
1.5 PARTS FRESH ORANGE JUICE
1.5 PARTS FRESH PINEAPPLE JUICE

Build over ice in a highball glass and stir. Garnish with a pineapple spear and lime wedge.

Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt make beautiful music together!

I’m probably one of the only people on Earth who didn’t like (500) Days of Summer but that doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy the pairing of Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt! The adorable pair teamed up for a very special video set to get fans excited about 2012.

They performed the song, “What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve?” with Zooey playing ukelele, Joseph on guitar and both sharing singing duties.

I know there have been rumors about hot boy Gordon-Levitt pairing off with other Hollywood hotties like Scarlett Johansson but wouldn’t it be great to see newly single Deschanel hook up with her former co-star?

Howie D confirms new Backstreet Boys Album!

Did you not get enough of The Backstreet Boys after their recent collaboration with New Kids on the Block? Well you are in luck! BSB member Howie D confirmed today that the Boys will be heading back into the studio in 2012 for a new album!!

Howie, who released his first solo album “Back to Me” November 9th, 2011, performed at Clevver Music Live earlier today and during an exclusive interview confirmed the news and discussed how they will keep things fresh.

“That’s always the challenge working on new albums; trying to push the envelope, trying to always top the last album. But that’s what we do. That’s one of the reasons why we take our time to make the record the best it can be.”

Jennifer Lopez makes beautiful music with Harman Kardon

When Jennifer Lopez is not hanging out on the beach with her new toy boy Caspar Smart, she is making beautiful music with Harman Kardon!

HARMAN International Industries announced today that the international superstar will star in a new brand campaign with the company’s iconic Harman Kardon audio brand. Ms. Lopez will be featured within the major global advertising campaign “Beautiful Sound” for Harman Kardon.

I’ve no idea how this mother-of-two finds the time to promote EVERYTHING that she signs up for (Fiat, L’Oreal, Venus, Kohl’s amongst other things!) and still finds time to do American Idol and remain absolutely fabulous at the same time but somehow she manages!

Jackson Rathbone rocks out with 100 Monkeys for a good cause

If there is a set of guys that like to party, it’s the ones from the band 100 Monkeys! Jackson Rathbone, Jerad Anderson, Ben Johnson, Lawrence Abrams and Ben Graupner rocked out for the Flightlinez Fundraiser benefitting the Fender Music Foundation featuring “100 MONKEYS” held on Freemont Street in Las Vegas, Nevada on Friday, August 26th, 2011.

The free concert for the Las Vegas community was held as a way to thank the city for its support of the many charity events the Flightlinez zipline attraction has produced this year.

All proceeds from the attraction will benefit a grant created by the Fender Music Foundation. The foundation will use funds raised from the event to create a “Rock’n Zip” grant to benefit music programs in the Downtown Las Vegas area.

Rihanna releases new video ‘Cheers’ with scenes from Miami!

What could be better than waking up and finding out Rihanna has released her latest music video? Finding out that pieces of it were shot right here in my hometown of Miami!!

The video is for the song Cheers, the sixth song from RiRi’s bomb azz cd Loud. I suspect this song, if not already, will become THE perfect anthem to welcome in the “freakin’ weekend!”

The Miami scenes were shot at The Setai, the hotel where Rihanna stayed during the South Florida leg of her tour. For the most part, it seems like the video is an amalgamation of fun times had during the entire Loud tour.

Look out for cameo’s from famous friends Avril Lavingne, Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Cee-Lo Green.

A special shout-out goes out to my friends who ended up in the video!

Joe Jonas apologizes on The Late Show

Good morning fellow cougars! I’ve got some smokin’ hot new shots of our favorite prey Joe Jonas upon his arrival to The Late Show With David Letterman at the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City, New York on Monday, August 22nd, 2011.

Looking adorable in a loose white t-shirt, a dark tan jacket, jeans and sneakers, the 22-year-old performed his new song entitled “I’m Sorry” from his upcoming debut album as a solo artist “Fast Life.”

The song, which talks about his bad relationship decisions and regret, is said to be about one of Joe’s famous exes. During an interview with E! News, Joe opened up about its meaning.

“’I’m Sorry’ is really honest,” Joe said on June 16th. “It’s saying, I screwed up. I didn’t cheat on the person, but just I messed up and I wanted the person back. I’m just putting it all on the table saying, ‘I’m sorry. I wish I could have you back.’”

Who could he have been referencing? Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift, and even Twilight star Ashley Greene are possibilities!

“Fast Life” was originally set to be released next month, but has been pushed back to October 11th. No worries guys, the day will arrive in no time!
