Jennifer Hudson is coming back!

81006a1_hudson_j_b-gr_07

Singer/Actress Jennifer Hudson has been mourning the tragic death of her mother, brother and young nephew for the last two months.

E! News is reporting that she is ready for her return.  We have not seen her at all during this very tough time and I really hope that she feels ready to comeback so soon.

She is confirmed as a performer the National Anthem during the Superbowl on February 1st.

“She certainly can nail it,’” a source just told me. “She proved it at the Democratic National Convention.”

I can’t wait to see her!

My Virgin Ears 01.12.09

Katy Perry and her… kitty.

Hello readers!

I’m Jonny, a long-time friend of Rosy’s and new contributor to Accidental Sexiness. I hope to bring a different perspective and add to the variety of content to an already phenomenal blog.  To give you a hint of insight of my background, I’ll be doing this serial post called “My Virgin Ears” giving you a heads-up to the new music that is being released (and eventually overplayed by your “local” radio station) with a brief review from my expert (former radio personality) point of view. If you don’t like it, Katy Perry’s (ahem) kitty… is ready at my command.

  • Akon, Beautiful
    • Akon keeps the hits coming with this Ladies anthem that I’m sure you’ll be singing along to in the car, in the club, in the shower, on the can… you get it. He sticks to his formula and it gets him another hit that I’m sure will be around until the summer. VERY catchy, you’ll eventually buy it if the radio doesn’t burn it in to your brain.
  • Katy Perry, Thinking of You
    • KP makes a pretty solid attempt at showing some depth in her debut album by releasing this predictable pop-ballad (Prom song 2009?) coming off of 2 danceable big hits. The lyrics are pretty immature which is pretty consistent with her 2 previous singles, but the kiddies will eat it up. Ladies, be prepared to have this song dedicated to you by some slacker with no creativity. It’s not a bad song, it just reminds me of a song by (insert any pop star name).

Taylor Swift? Go Fish-burne

TAYLOR SWIFT is making the move to the small screen by appearing on an upcoming episode of the hit CBS drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, now starring Laurence Fishburne. In the episode, SWIFT plays teenager HALEY JONES, whose family owns a seedy LAS VEGAS motel. Over the course of a year, HALEY goes through a series of changes with tragic consequences. Will this be just a sampling of her other talents, or possibly the beginning of a big career move?
