What I Wore: Social Media Influencer Dinner at Bianca at Delano

Last week I attended a fabulous Social Media Influencer dinner held at Bianca at Delano (1685 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, FL 33139) where we had the chance to sample the eatery’s Miami Spice menu. Hosted by Giovanny of ChatChow, fifteen of us met with Chef Jordan Hoffman and his team who explained the dishes we could expect, may of which featured delicious truffles!

But before I go into my favorite items on the menu, I need to address the outfit I wore for the occasion. I knew I was going to be eating a lot so I wanted to make sure I was comfortable. Here is the breakdown of my ensemble:

Dress: c/o Adrianna Papell
Shoes: c/o ShoeDazzle.com
Purse: Aldo
Earrings: Own

I chose this dress specifically since the ruffles on the front of the dress were the perfect accent to cover a full belly! Plus Adrianna Papell is the best for us curvy girls who are looking to look and feel confident and sexy!  Celebrity fans include Kelly Preston, Kathy Griffin, Giuliana Rancic, Miranda Kerr, Jessie Camacho, Kirstie Alley, Tamara Mowry, and Jeannie Mai.

Since the colors were basic black and white, I chose ShoeDazzle’s Stephanie pump from the “Powerful Pink” collection for a bit of pop. I didn’t want to overpower the dress with too many accessories so I kept it simple with large earrings and a simple black clutch.

One of my favorite things about the dinner was that I was only friends with one person at the table. This helped me to get to know more locals who are active in social media especially in the foodie world. The dishes that were brought out easily sparked conversations and stories that helped me get to know them better.

For those of you looking for a delicious spot to visit during Miami Spice head on over to Bianca at Delano and make sure you include the following in your order:

Rosy’s Picks:

First Course:
Burrata & Prosciutto

Entree:
Truffle Tagliatelle

Dessert:
Gelato Cones

Cocktail:
Diavolo

Steal My Look: Braided Updo from Premios Juventud

Dress: Rachel by Rachel Roy /Shoes: Brash Cosmic Platform c/o Payless

When Belleza Suave selected me to be one of the bloggers to represent them in a promotion during Premios Juventud, I had no idea exactly what I was in for. I never imagined that I would make some amazing friendships as well as have some of the most fun I’ve ever had!

We kicked off the celebration at Barceloneta (1400 20th Street Miami Beach, FL 33139), a South Beach tapas restaurant where I got better acquainted with fellow bloggers Delmy Reyes from Fashion Bananas and Gabriela Natale from Super Latina Tv, the Belleza Suave Team, and celebrity stylist Leonardo Rocco of Rocco Donna Salon (101 Ocean Drive Miami Beach, FL 33139).

Our night ended quite early since we all needed to be up by 5:00 am to head over to Univision Studios where we participated in a segment on Despierta America. Leo used Delmy, Gabriela and I as models to show off the trends he predicted to be hot on the blue carpet at Premios Juventud later that night.

My hairstyle was pretty amazing, especially how Leo put the top bun together with a sock! The final version I ended up wearing to the award show however was created sans sock. Find out how you can imitate this look at home with a step-by-step guide below:

1. Flip all of your hair downward. Then, French-braid the middle section beginning at the neck going all the way up to ear level. French braiding is similar to normal braiding except you have to keep adding hair as you go along braiding.
2. Secure hair in a high ponytail and separate it into 4 different sections to begin creating the bun.
3. To give it the long-lasting hold needed, spray a bit of Suave’s Touchable Finish Extra Hold Hairspray on each section and start to roll the hair down from tips to middle and secure it with bobby pins – follow this same process with the other ponytail sections until it begins to form a big bun.
4. Finish off the hairstyle by securing it with additional bobby pins and spray a bit more of hairspray to give it the final touch.

And while I can’t confirm that our hair is what scored Delmy and I a chat with Premios Juventud host Wilmer Valderrama, I bet it helped!
