Derek Luke on The Bonnie Hunt Show

As much as I hear about pop culture, I was not aware that Derek Luke is playing Puffy in the new “Notorious” flick!  Puffy?  Really?

Derek Luke is an amazing actor whom I fell in love with after seeing “Antwone Fisher.”  He also did an amazing job in the Spike Lee film, “Miracle at Santa Anna.” It seems that even he had reservations about playing the hip hop mogul, he says he turned down the role a few times!

He chats about the risks he took to get into films, his reservations on playing Puffy, his humble beginnings and being married for 10 years.  I wish Bonnie would have chatted with him longer!

“Notorious” hits theaters this Friday.

John Corbett visits the Late Late Show

My lifetime has been made!  John Corbett is coming back to television on the new “Showtime” program “United States of Tara.”  John will be starring alongside brilliant actress Toni Collette on this dark comedy created by Steven Spielberg and developed by Diablo Cody.

John is not only a brilliant actor and one gorgeous mo fo but he is also a Country Music singer. He performs “Knocking Around” live with his band!

Jason Priestly MIGHT return to 90210!

jpriestlyIn the past, actor/director Jason Priestly has been completely against bringing back his 90210 character Brandon back.  In a recent interview with tvguide.com he confesses if the story was “right” he would do it!

TVGuide.com: So come on, when is Brandon going to show up on 90210?
Priestley:
If Jeff and Gabe were to come up with a decent storyline for Brandon, I’d consider it. I’m very happy to be directing though. It’s a challenge, and it’s a lot of fun for me to be on set.

The discouraging part of his interview is when he says he feels that the old characters, “muddy the waters.” This couldn’t be farther from the truth. I know so many fans that love just getting little updates and finding out what has happened to their favorite characters. Seeing Jennie Garth and Shannon Doherty join the show, no matter how short lived, is what brings the old fans back.

TVGuide.com: But the fans want you guys back!
Priestley: It’s a totally different environment and show. At some point in time, if you continue to bring back all the old characters, it just muddies the waters of the new show. The new show has to stand on its own.

Priestly also confesses that he is still in contact with the most popular 90210 alum, Luke Perry!

TVGuide.com: So will we ever see Dylan on the new show?
Priestley: I can honestly say that Luke has no interest in coming back.

Even though he sounds pretty confident, I will still keep hoping. Dylan is Kelly’s baby daddy after all.

In the interim, I guess we should be happy that Brenda might be sticking around for a few more episodes and that Donna will be coming back.  I just wish Brenda would cut this mature act and go back to being a bitch.

Ah the good ol’ days!

Daniel Radcliffe visits Conan

“Harry Potter” star Daniel Radcliffe visited with “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” yesterday. He chats about his run on Broadway hit “Equus,” American condoms vs. British condoms, and a new initiative he wants to initiate called, “The Broadway annoying audience member relocation program!”

“The Bachelor” visits Bonnie Hunt

The latest “Bachelor,” Jason Mesnick visited “The Bonnie Hunt Show” today.  He chats about DeAnna’s return to the show, his cutie pie son Ty, the experience of falling in love with 2 women at the same time, and becoming engaged.

Check out the preview of the season, some of these girls are total psycho’s!

Taylor Swift? Go Fish-burne

TAYLOR SWIFT is making the move to the small screen by appearing on an upcoming episode of the hit CBS drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, now starring Laurence Fishburne. In the episode, SWIFT plays teenager HALEY JONES, whose family owns a seedy LAS VEGAS motel. Over the course of a year, HALEY goes through a series of changes with tragic consequences. Will this be just a sampling of her other talents, or possibly the beginning of a big career move?
