Alan Rickman strikes a pose at Harry Potter premiere

Who says all the young boys are the hottest looking things on the red carpet? Check out veteran actor Alan Rickman who hit the red carpet at the premiere of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2″ held at Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center on Monday, July 11th, 2011 in New York City.

Joining him were Tom Felton and Matthew Lewis who have grown into such handsome young men!

Big hearted Rickman is using his Harry Potter fame to help raise money for earthquake stricken Christchurch schools, Avonside Girls and Shirley Primary in Australia. He has donated an autographed, replica wand to be sold to the highest bidder via Ebay Australia.

“Joining the rest of the world in sending thoughts and all good wishes to the people of Christchurch” said Alan Rickman

But get your bids in soon, the auction will end on Saturday, July 16th.

British hunks Alan Rickman, Hugh Grant, Dougray Scott and even the newly married David Walliams attended the annual Russian Midsummer Fantasy fundraiser given by the Raisa Gorbachev Foundation at Stud House, Hampton Court on Saturday, June 5th, 2010 in London, England.

It’s an all star premiere for Alice in Wonderland!

With a movie such as Alice in Wonderland, you can’t expect less than an all star premiere! Director Tim Burton and his partner Helena Bonham Carter, Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Matt Lucas, David Walliams, Mia Wasikowska, Crispin Glover and my all time favorite Alan Rickman were all present on the red carpet at the Odeon Leicester Square on February 25, 2010 in London, England.

Even Avril Lavigne was there!

The 3D movie was inspired by Lewis Carroll’s classic tale of the young girl who embarks upon an exciting adventure in Wonderland.

Hathaway, who plays the White Witch, had this to say about the film.

“This is Alice 10 years later… when she goes to Wonderland she’s experiencing a return to self and I think it’s a wonderful take on it.”

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince Premieres!

Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson didn’t let the rain get them down. All three attended the highly anticipated premiere of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince at the Odeon Cinema in Leicester Square earlier today.

I was surprised Rupert attended since it was made public he was suffering from a case of the swine flu recently!

“It was quite scary when I first found out I had swine flu,” Rupert said at a press conference yesterday, according to The Daily Telegraph.“I thought: ‘Am I going to die?’ But it was just like any other flu really.”

“I had a sore throat and I went to bed for a few days.”

I’m so glad to see he is doing better. Four people have died from the A(H1N1) virus and they have nearly 7500 cases reported.

Also in attendance were Alan Rickman, Helena Bonham Carter, Jim Broadbent, Bonnie Wright, Matthew Lewis and Tom Felton. Even Harry Potter author whom without her we’d not have any of this, JK Rowling!

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince opens in U.S. theaters July 15th!!!!

Ready for a Firth/Rickman combo?

Colin Firth has been a busy bee this week and I’m glad he combined forces with fellow fab English actor Alan Rickman to attend the launch party for Greta Scacchi’s Sustainable Fishing Campaign. Greta is launching her own initiative to help save the world’s fish stocks.

“We have to put a stop to this free-for-all plundering of the sea,” she said.

“As a mother and an actress I implore everyone to boycott restaurants that don’t support sustainable fishing.”

‘I have always made environmental issues a priority but recently I have been alerted to the urgency and importance of the effect of over-fishing.

Also in attendance was Colin’s lovely wife Livia Giuggioli.

Spotted: Ian McKellen & Alan Rickman

Oh to be a fly on this wall! Two of the most amazing English actors on Earth , Alan Rickman and Ian McKellen dined together at The Ivy in London on Friday.

Alan has a pretty busy schedule at moment. He is reprising his role as Severus Snape in the latest Harry Potter flick, The Half Blood Prince due out in July, and he just wrapped up his role in the upcoming Alice in Wonderland film being remade by Tim Burton. Though no pictures have been seen of Snape on set yet, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows has been filming in the U.K.

Sir Ian is rumored to reprise his role of Gandalf in The Hobbit when it begins filming in 2010.
