REVIEW: Fringe “The Abducted”

JJ Abrams is a man after my heart. I knew I was going to enjoy this week’s episode of Fringe when the villain, called Candyman by Fringe division, appeared from a closet looking like a cop from THX-1138. Yes please, I’ll have more of the geeky goodness.

REVIEW: Fringe “6955 khz”

The tension on Fringe this season is building just slow enough to make me crazy. I want to yell at the television every time NOlivia does something so UNLIKE Olivia (Anna Torv) and poor lovestruck Peter (Joshua Jackson) doesn’t notice. He seems to just be shrugging them all off and he is too smart for that. I am having a hard time believing that knowing what he does about the other side he hasn’t entertained the idea that the woman he is making breakfast for is not the damaged, introverted Olivia that he fell in love with. We also learned that Pacey…I mean Peter looks awfully cute bathed in the morning sun as he serves breakfast in bed. I suspected as much.

REVIEW: It’s Twin Madness on Fringe!

This week on Fringe we spent the hour with our friends in the alternate universe, that wonderous world where Cary Grant was in The Maltese Falcon and The West Wing is in its eleventh season (as it should be, dammit. I miss you CJ). I applaud the writing staff on this amazing show for not having both sets of Fringeopods intermingling in one episode thus causing my feeble brain to work too hard. It makes it very hard for me to keep up. They must have learned this lesson on Lost because there were periods of that show where I had no idea what the hell was happening and I was left shaking and crying in the corner. Anyway, on with the story of “Amber 31422″.

REVIEW: Fringe: “Do Shapeshifters Dream of Electric Sheep?”

So far the third season of Fringe is turning out to be the best so far. JJ Abrams has woven a complicated web of high-stakes drama that is totally engrossing, and this week things got even more complicated for our Olivia clone when a shape shifter posing as a US Senator is killed in a car accident which threatens her cover.

To make things worse, Newton, the [Read more...]

REVIEW: Fringe “The Plateau”

I can’t express just how much I love Fringe. JJ Abrams (the LOST guy) has given us a crossover between 24 and The X-Files with some Dawson’s Creek thrown in for eye candy. I’m sure there is a Jack Bauer/Olivia Dunham crossover fiction somewhere on the internet, or maybe even some Peter Bishop/Jack Bauer slash fiction but I don’t think I’ll bother checking.

The real thing is more than enough to keep me entertained now that my all time favorite 24 is gone. Let’s pause for a moment of silence.
