Howie D confirms new Backstreet Boys Album!

Did you not get enough of The Backstreet Boys after their recent collaboration with New Kids on the Block? Well you are in luck! BSB member Howie D confirmed today that the Boys will be heading back into the studio in 2012 for a new album!!

Howie, who released his first solo album “Back to Me” November 9th, 2011, performed at Clevver Music Live earlier today and during an exclusive interview confirmed the news and discussed how they will keep things fresh.

“That’s always the challenge working on new albums; trying to push the envelope, trying to always top the last album. But that’s what we do. That’s one of the reasons why we take our time to make the record the best it can be.”

New NKOTBSB Tour Dates!

Fresh off their sizzling hot performance on the American Music Awards, the Backstreet Boys and the New Kids on the Block have announced a whole mess of new shows on what has to be the biggest tour of 2011. It’s official! The boys announced the NKOTBSB TOUR on the Ryan Seacrest show this morning along with some preliminary tour dates and on sale info. Donnie Wahlberg, Joe McIntyre, Danny Wood, Jon and Jordan Knight are teaming up with Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, AJ McLean and Nick Carter to dazzle and amaze their way across America.

Nothing like some wholesome teen pop to bring a divided nation together again. If you are a member of Block Nation or the official BSB Fan Club then you’ll get exclusive pre-sale access. The first set of dates goes on sale to the general public on November 19 at Livenation and Ticketmaster.

NKOTB + BSB = Perfect Storm of Pop

Backstreet Boy Howie Dorough is going to be a daddy!

Backstreet Boy Howie Dorough and his wife Leigh are expecting their first child together!

“I know she’s going to be a great mother,” says Howie. “If she can take care of me, the biggest baby in the entire world, I think she’s going to be okay with the little one coming along.”

Adds Leigh: “I think he’s going to be more hands-on than anyone expects. He’s someone who will get up in the night and change diapers. He’s such a partner of mine.”

The couple who got married last December don’t plan on finding out the sex of the baby until he/she is born. I don’t know how parents are able to have such patience to not find out. The day I have a baby I wouldn’t be able to contain myself!

Another project Howie is working on: Recording a new album in Los Angeles with his bandmates and kicking off a tour in South America at the end of February.

Congrats to the Dorough Family!
