GQ’s Men of the Year Revealed

And the votes are in. The 2009 GQ Men of the Year are as follows: star NFL quarterback, Tom Brady; the hilarious handful of hunks from The Hangover, Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, and Ed Helms; Star Trek’s, Chris Pine; films all-time fave bad boy cowboy, Clint Eastwood; and last but not least, our fearless leader, President Barack Obama.
More specifically, the awards are listed like this: Comeback of the Year, Tom Brady; Funny Men of the Year, Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, and Ed Helms; Breakout of the Year, Chris Pine; Bad Ass of the Year, Clint Eastwood; and Leader of the Year, Barack Obama.
The Covers will be available November 24.
Etta James pwns Beyonce!

Let me preface this article by letting all my readers know what a huge Etta James fan I am. I have loved her music for years and years. When I found out that Beyonce was playing Etta in “Cadillac Records” I was utterly confused.
I have nothing against Beyonce but in my opinion, she cannot be compared to Ms. Etta. I think a more fitting person would have been Jennifer Hudson but hey, that’s just my opinion.
The 71-year-old James sounded off on Beyonce’s rendition of one of her most famous songs, “At Last” which B performed for President Obama at his inauguration. Yep, Ms. James had some choice words for Beyonce and for President Obama!
Your President, the one with the big ears … he had that woman singing my song. She gone get her ass whipped.”
She continued, “The great Beyonce … I can’t stand Beyonce.”
Wow! Reps for Beyonce had no comment.
Shakira: On the scene in green

Foxy Colombiana Shakira was seen rockin’ a gorgeous green dress at the 2009 Latino Inaugural Gala “Celebrando El Cambio – Renewing America’s Promise” in Washington, DC last night. I like that she wore a color not usually seen in gowns. She looks flawless.
Shakira shares what it means to see Barack Obama become America’s 44th President.
“It’s a triumph for all the minorities in this country. Only in a country as great as this one can the son of an immigrant become president through hard work and perseverance.
“That is something that makes me the fan that I am of America.”
Beyonce sings for the Obama’s!

Beyonce performed at the Barack Obama’s Inaugural Celebration on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial today. She sang “America the Beautiful” with the help of Bruce Springsteen, Will.i.am, and a full gospel choir in red robes.
President Obama took the stage and had these words to say:
“As I stand here tonight, what gives me the greatest hope . . . is you: Americans of every race and region and station who came here because you believe in what this country can be and because you want to help us get there.”

A source has confirmed to US Magazine that Jennifer Hudson might re-emerge after the tragic deaths of her mother, brother and nephew to perform at Barack Obama’s inauguration.
“Organizers want Jennifer to sing ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ at the Inauguration on January 20,” a source tells the New York Post, which first reported the news.
“They are talking to Jennifer about it,” the source adds. “She is from Chicago and a huge Obama supporter.”
I hope that she is doing ok and that she makes her way back when she is ready.
