‘Footloose’ from past to present with a little hint of shimmer

Closing the weekend with a respectable second place win at the box office, Footlooseproved to be a widely popular re-make inspiring some folks to flock to theaters.  (While others refuse to accept anyone bothered remaking the Kevin Bacon classic!)Being born in 1989, I should automatically fall within the newbie fans and think that new leading man Kenny Wormald is better than the days of Mr. Bacon, but I rather just stay out of that debate! What did catch my eye is the latest nail polish collection by Deborah Lippman that reflects back on the original film. She has come out with two lines containing bold shades with fun names that take after many of the beloved dance songs.

The first set is comprised of Almost Paradise, a light green that was inspired by the Volkswagen Beetles in both of the films, and Footloose, a fiery hot red reflecting leading lady Ariel Moore’s red cowboy boots. The other fabulous set includes Let’s Hear It For The Boy which is a baby blue that of course, gives off that classic 80’s acid wash jeans touch. Looking for a deeper appeal? Dancing In The Sheets is a deep purple inspired by the most original scene, Bacon shaking his tail feather at the big party.

The collection is $32 a set and sold exclusively on hsn.com. With these shades totally on fall trend alert, how can you not jump on the opportunity to be part of history?

Footloose also stars Juliane Hough, Dennis Quaid, and Andie MacDowell.

Favorite Thing Friday: Covergirl Olay Simply Ageless Serum Primer

Please be warned, after reading this review you will want to run out and try this primer! I have such a simplistic attitude towards make-up on my face that I sincerely never thought I needed to wear anything extra below it. Sure you have your moisturizer that protects you but what on Earth is primer meant to do?

Well ladies, if you are tired of having to re-touch your make-up you need to invest in this product. I researched many brands but wasn’t convinced really by any [Read more...]

Favorite Things Friday: Ed Hardy Vintage Collage Blow Dryer

While I normally leave the Ed Hardy patterns for the younger generation, I’m happy to say that I have finally found a way to make it work for me.

I received their Vintage Collage Blow Dryer for review and I can’t tell you how fabulous it is! I took advantage of my upcoming trip to 2010 San Diego Comic Con to really see this tool at work. With friends coming over nightly to [Read more...]

AnnaLynne McCord crosses over to the Dark Side

AnnaLynne McCord rocked her new dark locks as she and sister Angel went to the BOA Steakhouse in Los Angeles for dinner Saturday night. The twenty two year old Georgia native looked to be a little tipsy too!

I wonder if her boyfriend err “friend”, Kellan Lutz, who celebrated his 25th birthday just [Read more...]

Love it or Leave it: Rihanna’s Soup Bowl Hairstyle

Normally the extremely fashion forward, Rihanna stepped out to sign autographs in Berlin, Germany on March 3, 2010 with a very interesting hair do. RiRi is known for risky hair behavior and this girl usually loves the direction she takes.

Sorry girl but this soup bowl you are rockin’ is just FUG!

Her jean jacket on the other hand is way cute. I bet its difficult to wash but it definitely stands out in a crowd.

Am I being overly critical here or do you find this hair do is a hair don’t?
