Beyonce visits The View

Obsessed

Beyonce Knowles visited with the ladies of The View to promote her upcoming movie, Obsessed. She chats about how it feels to star in the first film where she will not be singing, whether or not she wants children, who she thinks would win in a real-life battle between her and Ali Larter, and what she likes to do on her free time.

Bey discusses the current worldwide Twitter addiction and whether or not she is thinking of joining!

You can catch Beyonce all over soon! Obsessed hits theaters tomorrow and tickets for her upcoming tour go on sale this Saturday!

Beyonce hearts gaming!

90317u2_knowles_b_b_gr_01Am I the only one left out there who doesn’t own a Nintendo Wii?

Singer/Actress Beyonce Knowles is the most recent celebrity to pimp out video games. She tells Entertainment Weekly this week about recording the new television ad for the Nintendo DSi game, Rhythm Heaven, her favorite video games, and when she finds time to play them.

I like all the Wii games. Love Guitar Hero. This reminds me a little bit of a portable Guitar Hero, which is great, because I don’t want to carry around a big guitar! Growing up, I liked Tetris. I even like BrickBreaker on the BlackBerry.

I am very busy, but I always have time sitting around sets and on tour buses and planes. Usually I use that time to do approvals and other things, but sometimes it’s necessary to take your mind away from all of that. So I make time.

Beyonce is currently rehearsing for her upcoming tour.

I have to confess, the only reason I’m posting this Beyonce interview this evening is so that I can share my favorite Beyonce inspired music video by none other than our twitter buddy/celebrity blogger Micah Jesse. Loves it!

Beyonce does L.A. Confidential

beyoncemag1Herve Ledger bathing suit? Love it!

Mrs. Jay Z is rockin’ the cover of L.A. Confidential Magazine for March 2009.  These are some of the hottest pictures I have seen of her to date.  Does it have something to do with the Herve Ledger bathing suit? Maybe.  But without those curves the suit would be sunk.

In the interview Beyonce talks about the intensity behind playing the role of Etta James.

LAC: Your previous role, Etta James, was a heroin addict and an emotionally troubled woman. Your public image, at least, is quite the opposite— clean-scrubbed and relentlessly cheerful. Did portraying her take you outside of your comfort zone?
BK: Etta James had a darker side. And with the profanity I use in the movie, me [portraying someone] addicted to heroin, having a scene where I’m strung out—I’m sure audiences were extremely shocked. But I’m an artist and I’m playing a character. When I’m doing a movie, Beyoncé is nowhere in the film. One thing playing Etta James taught me is that I can’t be afraid or ashamed of the things that I like, even if it doesn’t make sense to other people, or even if it’s shocking to people. It comes to a point where I know it’s time to take a chance. I don’t have a need to do another record to make more money or become a bigger superstar. Doing the Etta James movie was a scary thing for me. I read the script and said, This is great, but what are people going to think? I even talked to people at the label and they said, “I’m not sure if you want to have a needle in your arm the week after the album comes out.…”

Why she is so secretive about her hubby Jay Z.

LAC: Why have you been so secretive about your relationship with Jay-Z?
BK: This is my first relationship. I’m very private and, of course, I don’t talk about it, but I’m very, very happy, that’s all I’ll say. We were together for a really long time before we got married; we were in no rush. We don’t have a normal relationship because of our careers. But celebrity or not, you go through the exact same things. We’re not perfect, it’s just natural for people to start rumors and try to break things up. You can try to defend it, but it’s difficult when you read things and people are always asking. You have to have a very strong relationship, way stronger than people who aren’t being scrutinized.

Etta James pwns Beyonce!

Let me preface this article by letting all my readers know what a huge Etta James fan I am. I have loved her music for years and years. When I found out that Beyonce was playing Etta in “Cadillac Records” I was utterly confused.

I have nothing against Beyonce but in my opinion, she cannot be compared to Ms. Etta. I think a more fitting person would have been Jennifer Hudson but hey, that’s just my opinion.

The 71-year-old James sounded off on Beyonce’s rendition of one of her most famous songs, “At Last” which B performed for President Obama at his inauguration. Yep, Ms. James had some choice words for Beyonce and for President Obama!

Your President, the one with the big ears … he had that woman singing my song. She gone get her ass whipped.”

She continued, “The great Beyonce … I can’t stand Beyonce.”

Wow! Reps for Beyonce had no comment.

Beyonce sings for the Obama’s!

beyonceobama1Beyonce performed at the Barack Obama’s Inaugural Celebration on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial today. She sang “America the Beautiful” with the help of Bruce Springsteen, Will.i.am, and a full gospel choir in red robes.

President Obama took the stage and had these words to say:

“As I stand here tonight, what gives me the greatest hope . . . is you: Americans of every race and region and station who came here because you believe in what this country can be and because you want to help us get there.”

David Beckham get’s canned?

After 10 years together, David Beckham and Pepsi have decided to go their separate ways.  Beckham decided to not renew his contract with the soft drink maker.

“I have nothing but good memories of my association with Pepsi.” David said.

Over the years, this sexy stud has endorsed many major brands including Vodaphone, Gilette and my favorite, Armani!

The folks over at Pepsi aren’t as hurt as I am!

A PepsiCo spokesman said: “Pepsi is proud to have worked with David Beckham for 10 years, during which time he has been among the most successful and inspiring international footballers of all time.

“Our partnership has been one of the most enduring in global brand history and David will always be part of our Pepsi family.

“David’s football legacy will live on and everyone at Pepsi will continue to be as passionate about his success as we have been over the last 10 years.”

In memory of their deal, here is one of my favorite Beckham/Pepsi collaborations:
