Britain’s Got Talent judge Piers Morgan is upset at rumors swirling around contestant Susan Boyle. This week stories circulated about an alleged altercation between Boyle and a journalist. She is also said to have cursed at a television set at a hotel bar where she watched Piers praise her 12-year-old competitor singer Shaheen Jafargholi during the show.

But if you think you are going to get away with talking smack about the 48-year-old Scottish woman taking the world by storm, you will have to deal with Morgan.

Morgan told radio host Nick Ferrari the singer has been struggling to cope with her sudden fame, which has seen her first audition downloaded an estimated 100 million times.

He said: “Anybody who has gone through that incredible transformation is going to be feeling the most unbelievable pressure.”

Morgan added: “The final is on Saturday and she knows that everything may rest on that one performance. You could see the nerves almost crippling her on the semi-final show.

“I just think it’s time that everyone slightly backed off.”

A spokesperson for Boyle had this to say:

“The police were escorting a journalist from the premises who had been winding Susan up.

“Susan and her sister were talking to the police telling them what had happened.”

Poor woman, it can’t be easy to be thrust into fame from one day to another. Its sweet that she has the support of Morgan, I hope she wins!
