Filming of the new John Landis film Burke and Hare has moved from Scotland over to London, England today. Isla Fisher has joined the set alongside Simon Pegg who has already put in quite a few hours into production.

Based on the true story about the famous murderers, ‘Burke And Hare’ follows the hapless exploits of these two men as they fall into the highly profitable business of providing cadavers for the medical fraternity in Nineteenth Century Edinburgh, then the centre of medical learning. The one thing they were short of was bodies.

Lead actors Simon Pegg and Andy Serkis on the set of “Burke and Hare”, shooting on location in Edinburgh’s historic Old Town. “Thriller” director John Landis is directing the movie, based on the real-life 19th century serial killers of the same name. Pegg takes on the part of William Burke and Serkis plays William Hare in the black comedy.

This scene was being shot in Edinburgh’s historic Old Town on February 25th.

Yesterday we some some fantastic shots of their co-stars Ronnie Corbett and Reece Shearsmith.

Former Dr. Who star David Tennant was meant to star in this film but had to drop out to star in the NBC show Rex is Not Your Lawyer. I truly would have enjoyed seeing David on this set but am still hopeful Rex gets picked up in the fall.
