Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood glow at the Country Music Awards

Two of my favorite fashionistas Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood looked dazzling at the 45th annual CMA Awards held at the Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, November 9th, 2011 in Nashville, Tennessee.The former American Idol cutie, who was picked to co-host the event alongside Brad Paisley, wore a gold sequined gown by Reem Acra and Jimmy Choo heels. Equally as stunning was Pennsylvania native Taylor Swift who wore a white J. Mendel gown and Christian Louboutin heels.

Both girls opted for very different looks though when it came down to their hairstyle.  Taylor’s golden strands were swept back to show her frosted earrings while Carrie had some romantic waves put in her hair.

Though I’m not sure yet if Ms. Underwood won, she is nominated for the Female Vocalist of the Year award.  I hope she wins!

Taking the term “going green” to a whole other level, Hayden Panettiere made her way down the red carpet at the 2010 CMT Music Awards held at the Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, June 9th, 2010 in Nashville, Tennessee.

The former Heroes cheerleader looks all grown up in this lacy dress, sky high heels, and a simple hairstyle that accentuates her new cut.

Carrie Underwood kicks off campaign with cute pup!

Who could blame her?

American Idol alum Carrie Underwood attended the 6th annual Pedigree Adoption Drive today in New York City. The singer looked absolutely adorable posing with a beagle puppy at the Bidawee Manhattan Shelter.

Having always been an avid supporter of animal rights –– donating proceeds from her song Home Sweet Home (that played every time a contestant got voted off) to the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) –– it is no surprise that she would attend.

Carrie has also been named on the list of performers at the upcoming Academy of Country Music Awards, set to take place on April 18th in Las Vegas.

Among those joining her will be musicians Lady Antebellum, Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, and Reba McEntire.

Carrie Underwood arrived at the AMAs in a gorgeous one-shoulder, champagne colored, toga-esque dress.

Carrie is nominated for Favorite Country Female Artist. Also nominated in the category are Reba McEntire and Taylor Swift. Reba is a legend, and it’s been a phenomenal year for Swifty. This category is total toss up!
