**SPOILER ALERT! LOTS OF SPOILERS AHEAD, PROCEED WITH CAUTION!**
In “Fruit for the Crows” we finally see Bobby (Mark Boone Jr) stand up to Clay (Ron Perlman) who has been on his shit list ever since agreeing to mule drugs around for Romeo (Danny Trejo) and the Galindo cartel. The culmination finally puts Bobby in a position to challenge Clay’s leadership ability in front of his fellow SAMCRO boys and calling an “officers challenge.”
Could this lead to Clay being ousted as President leaving the spot to be filled by someone who opposes the shady dealings between the Cartel and SAMCRO? Things sounds like they will end up getting crazier before they get better.
And how about that Juice (Theo Rossi) storyline? You can tell he has been feeling all kinds of conflicted for at least the last 2 or 3 episodes which led us into the final scene when he attempts to take his own life.
Lucky for us fans of the Juice that it sounds like the branch snaps once the screen went dark so it might not be the last we’ve seen of Rossi just yet. And I do have a special message for Assistant U.S. Attorney Lincoln Potter (Ray McKinnon), don’t you know what happens to people like you? Two words: Agent Stahl. Look her up!
I have a feeling Sheriff Roosevelt (Rockmond Dunbar) will get some nerve and redeem himself. He doesn’t seem to want to be Potter’s patsy but he is doing it anyways! Get a clue and grow some balls please.
A spoiler I read from Ausiello this week mentioned his desire for Tara (Maggie Siff) not to die this season which really has me worried for Jax’s (Charlie Hunnam) ol’ lady. Yeah she can be a bit annoying sometimes but she is raising his two sons and saving lives everyday at the hospital. (Not to mention the lives of SAMCRO and their associates who end up injured in the line of duty!)
One of the things I told show creator Kurt Sutter at Comic Con this year was that I loved that he wasn’t afraid to kill off popular characters. Yeah I’m still mourning the loss of Half Sack but it does keep you on your toes when nobody is safe.
Could the show work if Tara is killed? Absolutely. Gemma (Katey Sagal) would step-up as grandmother and help her son raise those boys, especially since there is a HUGE chance in my mind that Clay could end up dead himself by seasons end!
Jax would end up President with his bff Opie (Ryan Hurst) would ride by his side in the coveted VP spot. This would herald a whole new era for SAMCRO that would please both the older and younger members of the club.
So much can happen in the remaining 5 episodes of the season, so be sure to sit glued in front of your tv Tuesday nights at 10 pm–only on FX.
Here is a preview of episode 8 entitled, “Family Recipe.”
