Claire Danes becomes Carrie Anderson in new ‘Homeland’ photos

With excitement and anxiety growing stronger as we inch closer to the fall season, we would like to share some new images for the new Showtime drama, Homeland to help settle the nerves!

Claire Danes is set to make her television return in this one-hour psychological thriller that follows Carrie Anderson (Danes), a CIA operations officer who becomes convinced that the intelligence that led to the rescue of Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis), a U.S. soldier who had been missing and presumed dead was a set-up and may be connected to an Al Qaeda plot to be carried out on American soil.

Mandy Patinkin also stars as Saul Berenson, a veteran CIA Division Chief who is Carrie’s boss and mentor.

First Look Trailer: Claire Danes in “Homeland”

Yeah there was a lot of competition for your attention tonight between the Billboard Music Awards, RPM Miami, and Game of Thrones to name a few. But if you tuned in to the season finale of The Borgias, you were treated to something really amazing from the fabulous folks over at Showtime.

The first teaser trailer for their newest original program Homeland premiered and gave us a better idea what we can expect. The psychological thriller tells the story of Carrie Anderson (Claire Danes), a CIA officer battling her own demons. She becomes convinced that the intelligence that led to the rescue of Scott Brody (Damian Lewis) a U.S. soldier who had been missing and presumed deal for nine years, was a setup and may be connected to an Al Qaeda plot to be carried out on American soil.

Homeland also stars Mandy Patinkin who will portray Saul, a veteran CIA Division Chief who is Carrie’s (Danes) boss and mentor.
