Tom Ford attended the premiere of his directorial debut entitled A Single Man during The Times BFI London Film Festival at Vue West End in London this evening.
This drama revolves around George (Firth) an English professor who, after the sudden death of his partner tries to go about his typical day in Los Angeles.
At the premiere were Ben Kingsley, Livia Giuggioli and co-stars Matthew Goode, Nicholas Hoult.

A “terrified” Tom Ford premiered his directorial debut at the Venice Film Festival today.
“A Single Man” stars Colin Firth as a college professor coming to grips with solitude after his partner of 16 years dies. Also starring are Matthew Goode, playing the professor’s partner, and Julianne Moore as a longtime friend who harbors an unfulfilled love for Firth’s character.
In attendance with Ford were the stars of the film Colin Firth, Julianne Moore, and Nicholas Hault. Along with some gorgeous celebrity supporters including Jared Leto, Diane Kruger, and Sarah Polley who are in Venice to premiere their film, Mr. Nobody.
This is the first time I see a photograph of Colin Firth’s wife, Livia Giuggioli. WOW! The woman is gorgeous! They make a really lovely couple don’t they?
The Firths attended a press conference in France for their documentary In Prison My Whole Life today. This film tells the true story of an imprisoned political activist and former Black Panther member, Mumia Abu-Jamal, who’s death sentence for killing a police officer was overturned in 2001 due to errors made during his original 1982 sentencing hearing.
Colin Firth was Executive Producer of the film and his wife Livia produced it.

The funnyman and his girlfriend Jenny McCarthy attended the photo call for his upcoming film, A Christmas Carol during the 62nd Annual Cannes Film Festival today. Jim Carrey is plaing Scrooge and he’ll also be portraying the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future. The 3-D motion pictures arrives in theaters November 6, 2009.

Colin is currently at the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival premiering his film, Genova today. In this film he plays Joe, a father of two recently widowed who tries to start a new life in the Italian town of Genova.
Genova will hit U.S. theaters November 7th.
