Happy New Year Upper East Siders! It sure looks like it will be a glorious one for plotting and creating scandals for our favorite characters on Gossip Girl. Given the chilly temperatures, Gossip Girl producers were so kind as to give us some much-needed hotness with Chace Crawford parading around Bergdorf & Goodman with Tika Sumpter, as they were filming scenes for episode 17 today. I swear I can’t feel the icy wind just looking at those blue eyes. What, I’ve got a thing for blue eyes! Ahem.

Seems like the latest batch of trouble that Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen) brought to the table on Gossip Girl will grant her departure from the show for quite a while. Already notably absent from the CW hit show (she appeared in only three episodes this season), Momsen will start an “indefinite hiatus” and will be sidelined for “at least four episodes” following her departure from the show on the Dec.6 episode, Michael Ausiello reported on deadline.com.

I need to preface this post by saying what an amazing casting decision it was to bring Taylor Kinney on board the already breathtaking cast on The Vampire Diaries. While Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder, Michael Trevino, and Steven R. McQueen are definite babes, there is just something EXTRA drool-worthy about Matt Davis and Taylor Kinney who are the slightly older ones on the show.
