Kristin Cavallari and Ricki Lake celebrate new season of DWTS

Finally….a season of Dancing with the Stars without someone I thoroughly dislike in the cast! The list of celebrity competitors for season 13 of the reality talent show was announced last night and they include:

David Arquette, Ron Artest, Chaz Bono, Elisabetta Canalis, Kristin Cavallari, Nancy Grace, Rob Kardashian, Carson Kressley, Ricki Lake, J.R. Martinez, Chynna Phillips, and Hope Solo.

Cavallari, Lake, Bono, Solo, Kardashian and Grace met up with DWTS pros Cheryl Burke, Kym Johnson and the hunky Derek Hough for dinner at the trendy “Next Door Lounge” in Los Angeles, California on Monday, August 29th, 2011.

I’m so excited to see Ricki Lake back on television! As a child from the 90′s, I grew up watching her talk show, they were so great!!

Based on first impression, I will say that Wilson Phillips beauty Chynna Phillips and Scream star David Arquette are going to be the ones to beat. I also think Chaz will have the skills to give the other guys a run for their money.

His mother is Cher for Gawds sake!

Dancing with the Stars will return for its thirteenth season on Tuesday, September 19th, 2011. Who will you be cheering for this season?

Maksim Chmerkovkiy keeps it casual

When he’s not working hard in the studio with Dancing with the Stars partner Kirstie Alley, Maksim Chmerkovkiy takes a break for a bit of shopping. The thirty one year old Ukraine native was spotted at celebrity hot spot Kitson in Los Angeles, California on Saturday, May 7th, 2011 with a pretty brunette.

Working with Alley has proven to be quite the challenge. I have been following Kirstie’s tweets since the beginning of the season and lately she has chatting about her difficulties on the dance floor. Apparently all the time she has been spending on the dance floor has kept her from eating and caused her to lose her balance during rehearsal.

I’m cheering on Kirstie and Maksim till the end, I just hope she is able to handle it all!

Wendy Williams gives Dancing with the Stars partner a trip to the Caribbean!

She may have left him to fend for himself on the dance floor, but Wendy Williams is making sure her partner Tony Dovolani goes home happy. He visited her show today where Wendy presented him with a trip to the British Virgin Islands courtesy of Scrub Island Resort and the British Virgin Islands Tourist Board!

Karina Smirnoff chats Dancing with the Stars, Ralph Macchio, and Fashion

Earlier this month, Dancing with the Stars pro Karina Smirnoff attended the Spiegel Swim and Travel Launch Party held at Gansevoort South in Miami Beach, Florida where we chatted a bit about the upcoming season.
