Will Deb find out about Dexter’s dark passenger this season?

Evidence is mounting that season six will be THE season when Deborah Morgan (Jennifer Carpenter) discovers her brother Dexter’s (Michael C Hall) killer secret. Michael Ausiello just posted his weekly spoilers that have all but confirmed the finale will be another showstopper!

Question: Please tell me this is the season Deb finds out about Dexter‘s recreational activities. How much longer can they drag this out? —Steve
Ausiello: I’ll say this: Something happens towards the end of the Season 6 that will forever alter the show’s DNA. Interpret as you like.

My vote is: Deb will find out that her brother is a serial killer and her reaction is what will alter the show’s DNA. There is no denying that she is a die hard detective but she has always had a soft spot for her brother. Would she turn him in? Would Dexter give up or even worse, kill her in order to keep his secret hidden?

The fall television season can’t arrive soon enough.

Showtime also released this fabulous behind-the-scenes video last week with cast interviews and some insight on the roles of guest stars Colin Hanks and Edward James Olmos.

‘Dexter’ Executive Producer: “Dexter has gotten his groove back”

If you are wondering if Dexter Morgan (Michael C Hall) is going to be sulking at home after being dumped by Lumen (Julia Stiles) last season, you have no worries. Executive Producer Sara Colleton told TVGuide.com that when we meet the cables bad boy at the start of the season, he will be back to his old self and ready for some action!

“We thought a clean start to this season would be to jump ahead a year, so he’s not getting over Lumen, and he’s not still in the throes of dealing with the Rita [Julie Benz] thing,” Colleton says. “We wanted to jump ahead a year and find that Dexter has gotten his groove back. He’s gotten over Rita and Lumen.”

I know many of you weren’t as happy with the progress of the fifth season but there was no way to go from such a HUGE ending in season four without Dex going through some transitions. So now that we are jumping ahead a year (and two years since Rita’s demise) the single dad will have had enough time to re-bond with his dark passenger just in time to give us another amazing season.

“When we open up Season 6, we find Dexter in a very positive place in his life,” Colleton continued. “It’s like the Dexter we know and love is back, and he still wants to play.”

I’m seriously excited for more bad boy Dexter especially after hearing about all the fabulous guest stars set to make appearances. They include Colin Hanks, Mos (Def), Brea Grant, and Edward James Olmos.

This could also be the moment that Deb (Jennifer Carpenter) discovers her beloved brothers biggest secret, in what could be the ultimate end-of-season cliffhanger. What would she do with the information?

Dexter has a special message for YOU!

Sorry for the lack of news guys but I’ve been in Toronto visiting the set of two USA Network shows. I’m currently on break and I saw this new video of Dexter that I knew I had to stop and post immediately!!

If you were wondering what direction season six of the hit Showtime drama would be taking, worry no more. Dexter (Michael C Hall) himself wants to let you know that he is starting to feel like his old self again. Get ready for the blood bath Miami!

Could this madness lead to sister Deb (Jennifer Carpenter) finding out his secret? I know that I’m dying to find out, are you?!

Season six is currently shooting in Los Angeles, California.

“Dexter” scores Molly Parker for season six

The cast of the Showtime hit Dexter has grown by one more as of this morning! Canadian actress Molly Parker has just been signed on for a guest role according to TVLine.com.

Here are the details:

TVLine has exclusively learned that Parker will appear in several Season 6 episodes of the Showtime drama as Lisa Marshall, the sister of Colin Hanks’ mysterious new character, Travis. Sounds innocent enough, but details surrounding Parker’s role are scarce — which piques our interest even more.

If you recall, Colin joined the cast on May 10th and is set to play the role of “Travis, a highly intelligent young expert on ancient artifacts who gets linked to a series of grisly murders in Miami.” No one knows yet whether he will end up saran wrapped in one of Dexter’s (Michael C Hall) kill rooms so you will have to tune in!

The clue from TVLine seems to give me the impression that Lisa Marshall could even be suspect! What if she is setting up her brother or circumstances have made Travis look suspect.

Parker, who previously starred in the HBO drama Deadwood, joins an amazing cast of guest stars including Mos (Def), Edward James Olmos, and the aforementioned Hanks.

Michael C Hall and Sam Trammell: Geek Out!

Two of my favorite guys, Michael C Hall and Sam Trammell stepped out for the Los Angeles Times’ 3rd Annual “The Envelope: Primetime Emmy Screening Series” Geek TV Panel held on Wednesday, June 8th, 2011 in Los Angeles, California. Joining them were comedian Joel McHale and Big Bang Theory star Johnny Galecki.

As part of Emmy Week celebrations, the LA Times have set up five fabulous days where they screen premieres of highly anticipated television programs, host Q and A and Roundtable discussions with the stars of shows like, Mad Men, True Blood, Dexter, Justified, Community and Shameless amongst others.

Last nights “Geek Out” event was the final one of the series.

Edward James Olmos gets religious on “Dexter”

In what is growing into a list of brilliant guest stars, Edward James Olmos has just been announced as an addition to the cast of Dexter for season six. The veteran actor known for his various work including Battlestar Galactica, Miami Vice, and Stand and Deliver will play the role of “a brilliant, charismatic professor of religious studies” according to a press release sent out by Showtime Network.

The description doesn’t give us much to go on like how this character will be related to Dexter (Michael C. Hall). He could end up being a “friend” or “foe” but the big question is, will he end up covered in saran wrap in one of Dexter’s kill rooms?

He joins the previously announced guest cast including Colin Hanks and Mos (Def). Previous distinguished guest cast have included Jimmy Smits, John Lithgow and Julia Stiles. Production on DEXTER begins May 25th in Los Angeles and will premiere on SHOWTIME this fall.

Mos (Def) finds religion on “Dexter”

The list of special guests for the sixth season of the Showtime hit Dexter continues to grow and in the process making me a very excited fanatic! I just received a press release from the fabulous folks at the network confirming rumors that Mos (apparently Mos Def has changed his name!) will be joining the show in a multi-episode arc and is set to play “Brother Sam, a hardened ex-con who claims to have found religion, yet seems to continually find himself surrounded by violence.”

This follows news of Colin Hanks joining the cast a couple of days ago.

Earlier this month, TVLine.com spoke about three new characters that are currently being cast for season six. None of which were roles taken by either Mos or Hanks.

They include:
Jamie: Described as an outgoing and fun Latina in her mid-20s, this Florida native relocates to Miami for grad school. (Could a latina hottie be a potential love interest for Dexter (Michael C Hall)? I’d love that to no end! That is what he needs, a woman to keep his azz in line!)
Chicago Mike: New thirtysomething African-American homicide detective who possesses a finely turned BS detector. The Windy City native does not play well with Dexter or others.
Louis: A buddy of Masuka’s (C.S. Lee) who joins MMP as a new lab intern. Role calls for a Caucasian actor in his 30s who is “attractive in his own way.”

So I’m hoping to hear more news in the near future!
