Gerard Butler strikes a pose at the MET Gala

Well hello old friend! It’s been a hot minute since our boy Gerard Butler has graced the pages of AccidentalSexiness.com and I’m so happy he is making his return looking drop-dead-handsome in an Alexander McQueen tuxedo!

The Machine Gun Preacher hunk posed for cameras at the ‘Schiaparelli And Prada: Impossible Conversations’ Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monda, May 7th, 2012 in New York City. This is literally one of the hottest fashion events of the year and Gerry knocked it out of the park!

Up next for the Scottish hunk is the film Of Men and Mavericks, a dramatic film about the life of surfer Jay Moriarity. Watch for that when it hits theaters on October 26, 2012.

Gerard Butler heats up the red carpet at the Golden Globes

He may not have been nominated this year, but that doesn’t mean he can’t win “best dressed male” at the Golden Globes! The 42-year-old star of Machine Gun Preacher was photographed on the red carpet at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday, January 15th, 2012 in Beverly Hills, California.

Salvatore Ferragamo created the striking tuxedo but the Scotsman really gave it life.

Butler has legions of dedicated fans willing to do nearly anything to get close to him, even following him into a public restroom! If you think that is the worst part, you must know that said fan demanded he recite lines from his famous film 300.

I hope none of you out there that I know as Gerry fans would resort to such methods!

Gerard Butler and Ralph Fiennes hit the red carpet for Coriolanus screening

\Gerard Butler looked to be back in tip-top-shape when he hit the red carpet for a special screening of his new film, Coriolanus this evening. Joining him at the Curzon Mayfair in London were co-stars Lord Voldemort Ralph Fiennes, Vanessa Redgrave, and James Nesbitt.

Ralph Fiennes stars as Caius Martius Coriolanus, the hero of Rome. He is manipulated and out-maneuvered by politicians and even his own mother, Volumnia (Redgrave), resulting in his banishment. He subsequently offers himself to his sworn enemy, Tullus Aufidius (Butler), and together they march on Rome with the intent to destroy the city.

The Shakespearean tale also serves as Fiennes’ directorial debut!

It was animal between us and we quickly got rid of a lot of the choreography of the fight and just went for it, Butler said. As if you could rip out somebody’s eyes and put your fist down their throat and rip out their lungs.

“It was some of the hardest filming I’ve done in a long time but it was kind of cool to be doing that with Ralph Fiennes.”

Coriolanus will open in wide release on January 20th, 2012.

Gerard Butler catches the surf topless

Surfs up guys and gals! Actor Gerard Butler showed off his smokin’ hot bod on the beach where he is shooting scenes for the surfer biopic Of Men and Mavericks in Los Angeles, California on Tuesday, October 11th, 2011. All that exercise and healthy eating sure has transformed this already hot Scott into a lean, mean, wave tacklin’ machine!

The drama tells the story of surfer Jay Moriarty and his longtime friend/mentor Rick ‘Frosty’ Hesson, played by Jonny Weston and Gerard Butler respectively.

To prepare for the role, the Machine Gun Preacher and 300 hunk has been spotted hitting the beaches of Malibu recently. Keep up the good work!

Gerard Butler and Michelle Monaghan premiere ‘Machine Gun Preacher’

Two Gerard Butler posts in one day? Heck yeah! Gotta love it when a hot celebrity is promoting a new movie!

Butler was photographed with co-star Michelle Monaghan at the Machine Gun Preacher Los Angeles premiere held at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences on Wednesday, September 21st, 2011 in Beverly Hills, California.

Also in attendance were producers Gary Safady, Robbie Brenner and Colombiana star Zoe Saldana.

The action/adventure film is based on the real life story of Sam Childers, a former drug-dealing criminal who undergoes an astonishing transformation and finds an unexpected calling as the savior of hundreds of kidnapped and orphaned children.

Gerry’s performance has had folks buzzing since it’s premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 11th. Machine Gun Preacher will open to a limited release this Friday.

Russell Crowe is a bad influence on Gerard Butler

Hottie Gerard Butler stopped by The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on September 20th with his delicious accent and beautiful face! Promoting his latest flick, Machine Gun Preacher, the Scottie chatted about the trial and tribulations of trying to quit smoking, even sticking pal Russell Crowe’s neck out for being one of the instigators!

The 41-year-old actor also shared his experiences of learning how to surf, fly a helicopter and paragliding off a cliff. His craziest times include a cruise, throwing chairs into the ocean and climbing onto the banister singing. Oh, the drunken adventures of Gerard!

Machine Gun Preacher is based on the real life story of Sam Childers (Gerard’s character), a former drug-dealing biker who found God and became a crusader for the children of Sudan who’ve been forced to become soldiers.

My favorite part of the interview was when fellow guest Whitney Cummings came out and things started to heat up! She joked that merely sitting next to Gerry had gotten her pregnant! She really got the crowd going when she sat on his lap and wanting to stay there for the entire interview.

Who could blame her!

Machine Gun Preacher hits theaters this Friday, September 23.

Gerard Butler grabs a bite in The Big Apple

Looking sexy in a green v-neck top and blue jeans, actor Gerard Butler was photographed having lunch at Da Silvano’s restaurant in New York City, New York on Tuesday, September 13th, 2011. The 41-year-old just returned to the Big Apple after a successful trip to Toronto where he premiered his new film, Machine Gun Preacher.

All the latest buzz around town pertains to the 300 sequel and Butler reprising his role as leader of the Spartans despite his character dying in the previous film. The Scottie and fellow actress Lena Headey, will be appearing in the sequel, 300: Battle of Artemisia as King Leonidas and Queen Gorgo, according to the sequel’s producer, Bernie Goldmann.

While the storyline is different this time around, Goldmann, said that small parts have been written in for both characters. Much like the first film, the second one will also be full of unknown actors in lead roles.

“When you make a period movie like that, it’s great not to know the actors. For me, as an audience, it always brings  me into the movie more. You can’t see Tom Cruise in a historical movie. You go, “That’s Tom Cruise!”

Even though Gerard will only have a brief appearance in the film, his delicious abs will make up for it all!
