Robert Downey Jr and Guy Ritchie bring Sherlock Holmes 2 to Italy

Talk about two handsome men enjoying their work in a breathtaking city! Robert Downey Jr and director Guy Ritchie were photographed having a grand ol’ time at the photocall for Sherlock Holmes: Games Of Shadows at Hassler Hotel on Sunday, December 11th, 2011 in Rome, Italy.

The duo were joined by producers Lionel Wigram and Joe Silver.

The highly anticipated sequel follows Sherlock Holmes (RDJ) and his sidekick Dr. Watson (Jude Law) and their latest adventure to outwit and bring down their fiercest adversary, Professor Moriarty (Jared Harris).

The beautiful Rachel McAdams returns as Irene Adler while Noomi Rapace and Stephen Fry join the cast for the action-packed dramedy! Sherlock Holmes: Games of Shadows opens in theaters on Friday.

Robert Downey Jr and Iron Man get a leg up

Well, Iron Man gets a leg up at least. Robert Downey Jr. was spotted leaving Sherlock Holmes director Guy Ritchie‘s home in London this morning. Exiting with the star was an unknown man who happens to have a large Iron Man tattoo on his left calf. And some cool striped socks. Production on the as yet untitled Sherlock Holmes Sequel is said to start filming this fall. So, odds are, the visit was in relation to that.

Ok I had just to backtrack on this story! I got all excited thinking if Jude Law and Guy Ritchie are together it must be because they are shooting the sequel to Sherlock Holmes already! IMDb showed it as being in pre-production and I really got hopeful!

Sadly these are not photos from the detective dramedy. The duo are currently in the City of Lights shooting a TV ad for luxury brand Christian Dior.

Sherlock Holmes New York premiere

Director Guy Ritchie, Jude Law, Robert Downey Jr., and Rachel McAdams attended the New York premiere of Sherlock Holmes at the Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center on December 17, 2009.

Ritchie walked the red carpet with his son Rocco and a huge smile on his face. I’m sure he is extremely delighted to be reunited with his boy.

I have a feeling this film is going to kill at the box office. It has strong competition with Rob Marshall’s star-filled musical Nine which also opens on Christmas Day. As much as I want to check out Nine, I think the detective and his side kick Watson will be getting my money!

Also at the premiere were Eva Mendes, Bruce Willis and his wife Emma Heming, Ashley Greene, Jessica Szohr, and Blake Lively in a va va va voom black dress!

Sherlock Holmes premieres in London

The lights in the streets of London might have well should have been off. The star power that was at the world premiere of Guy Ritchie’s new film, Sherlock Holmes were enough to light up the entire city!!

Jude Law, Robert Downey Jr., Rachel McAdams, Kelly Reilly and director Guy Ritchie were all dressed to the 9′s on the red carpet at the Empire Leicester Square on December 14th, 2009.
