IFC has greenlit a second season of viewer favorite Portlandia, the IFC original, short-based, comedy series created, written by and starring Fred Armisen (SNL) and Portland-native Carrie Brownstein (vocalist/guitarist, Sleater-Kinney). With Portlandia heading into it’s third episode, there is no doubt that you are already repeating many of the shows catch phrases like, “Put a Bird on It.” With it’s already stellar guest stars including recent Screen Actor’s Guild Award Winner Steve Buscemi, Selma Blair, Heather Graham, and Kyle MacLachlan, as the mayor of Portland, they are adding two more that I’m sure will please music fans.

Halloween is next week and oodles of zombie goodness is shuffling our way. In addition to A&E’s The Walking Dead (which I’ll talk about later), IFC is premiering a new apocalyptic gore fest on October 25th called Dead Set.
