Joe Manganiello is InStyle Soiree Sexy

Is anyone else as surprised as I am at how much you are loving Joe Manganiello? I never watched One Tree Hill so I am only JUST getting to appreciate the beauty that is Pennsylvania native.

This handsome stud attended the 9th Annual InStyle Summer Soiree held on Thursday, August 12th, 2010 in Los Angeles, California.

At the event, he chatted with [Read more...]

Cameron Diaz cover InStyle Magazine July Edition

With a fun, new, action, comedy ready to be released this summer, you can expect to see a lot more of Cameron Diaz. The blond haired beauty is the July issue cover girl for InStyle Magazine. (sorry for the crappy scan, I will try for a better one tonight!)

In Knight and Day, Cam plays the role of June Haves, a mousy, 30-something Boston woman with not much of a life who accidentally gets sucked into international intrigue by Tom Cruise’s character, Miller. He is a rogue spy on the run from his own corrupt co-workers, according to the article.

Check out some snippets of the interview:

Zachary Quinto: Man of Style

zqmag1-1600x1200 zqmag2-1600x1200

I’m so sorry these scans are so crappy but I am sure you fellow die hard Zachary Quinto won’t mind! He was featured in the latest issue of InStyle Magazine for being a “Man of Style.”

The actor was asked a series of questions, I will highlight a few for you guys.

InStyle: Describe your look growing up.
ZQ: I was basically sporting a Spock do back then-it looked like I had a bowl haircut. I remember wearing braided belts, khaki pants and suede bucks. Very J. Crew. I went to a private Catholic school and wore a tie every day. I like to think my taste is more refined now.

InStyle: What’s your style today?
ZQ: What’s your style today: It’s pretty laid-back but metropolitan. I always try to do something a little different. I wore a navy blue Jil Sander tux with black lapels to the Golden Globes. And I like Alexander McQueen who brings a sense of adventure to clothes. It’s understated but tangible.

InStyle: Did you ever have any fashion obsessions?
ZQ: I used to love Miami Vice. I went through a serious phase where I walked around dressed like Don Johnson: linen pants with an oversize blazer and no shirt. But I was, like, 10.

InStyle: What’s the biggest splurge you’ve made?
ZQ: I don’t splurge. I guess buying a house would quality. But my lifestyle remains the same now as it was a few years ago-in terms of where I go, what I do, who I do it with. I still buy clothes in the same places. I love to travel, so after the first season of Heroes I spent a month in Europe. But I was traveling on trains, carrying my backpack.

I doubt our Zach can venture out in Europe anymore without being recognized! For the full interview pick up the May 2009 issue of InStyle Magazine.

Ali Larter: On My Mind

ali

The star of the upcoming thriller, “Obsessed” was featured in the “On My Mind” section of InStyle Magazine, March 2009 issue.  This “Heroes” hottie shares some of her wants, obsessions, and what she is currently craving.  This is one of my favorite features in this mag.

Check out some of my favorite parts:

If I weren’t acting….

I’d open a gourmet shop with a wine-and-cheese bar.

Fashion Obsessions…

Alexander Wang blazers, Rick Owens pants, Gucci bags and Hellmuth gold jewelry.

Beloved book…..

Madame Bovary.  The way that this woman had to deal with life as an outcast is just so moving to me.

Vital beauty products….

Creme de la Mer, Giorgio Armani sheer bronzer, Chanel lipstick in Luminous, and my makeup artist just introduced me to Rodin Olio Lusso oil.

Craving…..

Steak frites and the artichoke-and-goat-cheese salad at Raoul’s in N.Y.C.

Dreaming of….

Having a cocktail with my fiance, Hayes, at the Bar Hemingway in the Ritz hotel in Paris.

Carrying……

A Gucci bag with scripts, makeup, my phone and wallet, Tootsie Rolls, tons of change and my workout clothes.

Check out Ali every Monday night on “Heroes” and in the upcoming film with Beyonce Knowles entitled, “Obsessed” which hits theaters April 24th!

Sandra Bullock springs onto InStyle Magazine!

sandra036-1600x1200My favorite time of the month is right about this time when all the magazines start to pour into my mailbox!  It’s like Christmas comes around once a month.  I run to my mailbox to see who is the new beauty on the cover.

This month’s gift was this beautiful shot of Sandra Bullock on the cover of the March 2009 edition of InStyle Magazine.  She looks super airbrushed but who cares?  Check out color of that Alberta Ferretti dress she is wearing!

There is a great Q & A section where America wrote in their questions as part of her interview and here are some of my favorite snippets.

Question: Which role did you really want and not get?

Answer: “There haven’t been any roles that I wanted that I didn’t get, but there was a movie I wish I had done: The Matrix.  At the time [I was approached about it], it wasn’t cast with Keanu [Reeves], and I didn’t see myself with the person they wanted [in it].  Later I saw the movie and loved it.  It was sexy and great because of Carrie-Anne [Moss] and Keanu.

Could you guys imagine Sandra in the role of Trinity?

Question: What made you want to do All About Steve? (Her upcoming movie with Bradley Cooper)

Answer: I read the script and laughed so much.  It encapsulated everything that has gone awry in our society for girls and women, who are pushed to be homogenized.  What happened to all the  Carol Burnetts in the world?  All these great women were allowed to be this unique blend of things.  I’m not the blond bombshell; I’ll never be that.  There’s a piece of Mary in everybody-to be accepted for who you are and not have to change to be seen as normal.  To be true to yourself is something I admire.  I wish I was like that all the time.

Question: Which actresses do you admire?

Answer: There are some amazing women in our business, and they continue to break ground.  I make a joke about Meryl Streep: They just need to give her her own category at the Academy Awards, and when she makes a film that year, give her a statue.  I just saw Penelope Cruz in Elegy.  No one who looks like that should  also be an extraordinary actress.  I was so blown away by her in that film, I wanted to write a note to applaud her.  We have to support each other.  I admire actresses who are good to women.  I don’t like the ones who just don’t like women. You can feel it, and I’m like, You’re degrading yourself.

Sing it sista!!
