Sneak Peek: “Identity Thief” with Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy

Two of my favorite funny people on the planet, Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy, have a new comedy coming out and we have photos and the very first trailer as well! Directed by Horrible Bosses’ Seth Gordon, the all-star comedy that follows a woman named Dina (McCarthy). Unlimited funds have allowed her to live it up on the outskirts of Miami, where the queen of retail buys whatever strikes her fancy. There’s only one glitch: The ID she’s using to finance these sprees reads “Sandy Bigelow Patterson”… and it belongs to an accounts rep who lives halfway across the U.S.

With only one week to hunt down the con artist before his world implodes, the real Sandy Bigelow Patterson (Bateman) heads south to confront the woman with an all-access pass to his life. And as he attempts to bribe, coax and wrangle her the 2,000 miles to Denver, one easy target will discover just how tough it is to get your name back.

Identity Thief co-stars Jon Favreau, John Cho, Genesis Rodriguez, Amanda Peet, Eric Stonestreet, and rapper T.I. Check it out in theaters on February 8th, 2013. Check out our gallery images and the trailer below:

Jason Bateman and wife Amanda Anka have baby #2 on the way!

Congratulations to Jason Bateman and wife Amanda Anka!

The 42-year-old actor and his wife of 10 years and parents to 4 ½-year -old daughter Francesca Nora, are now expecting baby #2—another girl to be exact!

“I’m going to be a grandfather again,” Amanda’s father, singer Paul Anka, told ET Canada.

My love for Jason started when I saw his performance in the indie flick, Juno and now has grown into a full blown obsession! He is such a talented actor both in leading and supporting roles from State of Play to Couples Retreat and my ultra fave Up in the Air. So of course, his personal life would be flourishing too!

Jason and his wife seem to lead such a normal life, well for being a celebrity. He is never seen splashed across gossip magazines running around with mysterious women or cursing out photographers. (Well there was that one fiasco at the Apple Store, but we won’t count that!)

I like classy couples, and they certainly are one.

The fab news only adds to Jason’s summer success with Horrible Bosses and The Change-Up at the box office.

Congrats again to the happy couple!

Jason Bateman and Charlie Day take ‘Horrible Bosses’ Down Under

Earning the title of “one of the biggest surprises at the movie theaters of the summer” was the Seth Gordon directed Horrible Bosses! Even though I love Jason Bateman and Colin Farrell, had it not been for a special invitation to screen the film early, this comedic gem would have sadly ended up on my DVD rental list.

Even Jennifer Aniston, who rarely ever does it for me on the big screen, had me rolling on the floor! Finally she has been able to break away from the Rachel Green character from Friends and create someone that was totally different.

Charlie Day also emerged as a favorite though I’m sure many of you already know him from his work on the FX comedy It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Bateman and Day were joined by co-star Jason Sudeikis on the red carpet at the premiere for Horrible Bosses held at Event Cinemas on Tuesday, August 16th, 2011 in Sydney, Australia.

I suggest all our friends Down Under looking for a refreshingly funny film hit theaters on August 25th!

Enter to Win Tickets to see ‘Horrible Bosses’

It was an action packed weekend with the masses heading to theaters to watch Transformers: Dark of the Moon, but this weekend heralds the opening of the comedy Horrible Bosses. I have an awesome Fourth of July contest to share with you guys that will get you into theaters to preview it this Wednesday if you live in Chicago, Dallas, Houston, NY, Miami, LA, San Jose and El Paso.

The Warner Bros comedy follows Nick (Jason Bateman), Kurt (Jason Sudeikis) and Dale (Charlie Day), three friends who conspire to murder their awful bosses when they realize they are standing in the way of their happiness. The film also stars Jennifer Aniston, Colin Farrell, and Kevin Spacey.

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost premiere “Paul” in London

Jason Bateman spends the day with his little lady

Jason Bateman and his daughter Francesca enjoy a family day out playing on a slide at farmers market in Los Angeles on February 21st. Isn’t Francesca one of the cutest little girls that you’ve ever seen?

The 3 year old is the daughter of Bateman and his wife Amanda Anka to whom he has been married since 2001. Not only can this precious princess count daddy as famous but she also has a famous grandfather! Her mommy Amanda is the daughter of Canadian singer Paul Anka.

Cast of Couples Retreat graces London

The cast of Couples Retreat was in London for a photocall today. They were given a nice little sandy spot set against a gorgeous Tahiti backdrop. The movie was actually filmed in Bora Bora at the St Regis. (Guess where I’m going next summer!)

Both Kristen Bell and Malin Akerman look stunning. I love Malin’s dress, with the side pockets. And Kristen looks sweet and pure in her little white lace number. The boys look… stunned maybe? Both Vince Vaughn and Jason Bateman look like the travel is starting to get to them. Regardless, they are both handsome & funny guys!
