Joaquin Pheonix’s ‘I’m Still Here’ teaser trailer released!

There was a lot of talk in Hollywood about Joaquin Pheonix after he announced that he was retiring from acting — to become a hip-hop artist.

Many speculated that the actor had suffered some sort of breakdown, especially after his bizarre behavior during a now-infamous interview on The Late Show in which he barely spoke two words to host David Letterman. Others claimed the actor was merely faking for the sake of performance art for Affleck’s project.

Now, with I’m Still Here preparing for release [Read more...]

Joaquin Phoenix looks to be back to normal

It looks like Joaquin Phoenix has put his crazy days behind him and has returned to normalcy, at least for now. The Golden Globe winner decided to quit making movies to allegedly seek out a career as a rapper in October 2008. He surely can’t have been serious though. His rapping skills were horrible and with buddy Casey Affleck filming the entire thing, it seemed more like he was trying to create a documentary than be a serious hip hop artist.

These photos were taken of him as he departed from Voyeur nightclub in Los Angeles last night.

Phoenix emerged sans the scraggly beard to record a public service announcement with pop star Miley Cyrus and ex-girlfriend Liv Tyler last week. They collaborated for the charity, To Write Love on Her Arms, a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide.

Welcome back Joaquin!

Joaquin Phoenix loses mind in Miami

People Joaquin Phoenix

Yeah, I’m fakin’ it

Joaquin Phoenix or the lunatic formerly known and Joaquin was in Miami last night still pretending to be that insane person who is trying to be a hip hop artist.   He “performed” at the new LIV nightclub at the Fountainbleu and got heckled which is to be expected.  Well he got mad and jumped into the crowd.

Thank you Andy Kaufman, and good night.

Joaquin Phoenix is faking!

Is it just me or does everyone “get” that Joaquin Phoenix is faking?! I had my doubts before but after watching this train wreck interview between Joaquin and Letterman last night I realize this is all just some lame attempt at a joke that will end up a mockumentary of some sort. This wreaks of Andy Kaufman. He has to hold back his laughter throughout the whole bit!

Judge for yourselves. Joaquin visited with Letterman to promote his latest flick with Gwyneth Paltrow entitled, “Two Lovers.”

Who will save Joaquin Phoenix?

I really don’t know what to say about Joaquin Phoenix’s “so called” transition into the music business. In October, Joaquin announced via E! News that he was retiring from acting and after watching this video I am still unsure whether its meant to be a joke or not? He performed last night at the Las Vegas club Lavo.

If he is for real, why isn’t anyone doing anything? Joaquin’s brother-in-law Casey Affleck has been following him and filming his move into the music industry for a documentary. But if you saw your loved one making a huge mistake wouldn’t you say something?

You guys decide, here is his attempt at rapping:

And here he is falling off the stage!
