John Mayer looked erm..relaxed while dining out with friends at celebrity hot spot Katsuya in Brentwood, California on Thursday, August 25th, 2011. Decked out in a large brimmed hat, comfy grey pants, baggy white t-shirt and tan boots, the 33-year-old crooner tried to avoid photographers while making his way back to the car.

It was announced today that Mayer, who absolutely needs to cut his hair, will be teaming up with Tony Bennett, Carrie Underwood, Diana Krall, and Stevie Wonder for a landmark concert event in Los Angeles to benefit Drive to End Hunger, a national effort by AARP and AARP Foundation to end hunger among older Americans.

This musical spectacular will take place at the STAPLES Center on Saturday, September 24th, 2011.

Rumors spread recently that one of John’s high profile ex’s was planning to write a tell-all book about their relationship. And while Taylor Swift IS known for telling tidbits about guys she’s been involved with via her songs, we highly doubt she would take the low road and write an entire book about it.

According to her representatives, the rumor is absolutely false and we would expect no less from Ms. Swift. Though I will be the first to admit, I’d have LOVED to hear a little more juicy details about their failed relationship!
